My room has two faces. Sometimes it is clean. Sometimes it is really messy. If there is something that could really reflect who I am, definitely, it would be my room. It is my mirror.
Among the family members, I’m the only one who stays alone in a room definitely because I’m an unica hija. You can immediately see it for its only one curtain away from our living room and one more thing, our house is not that big but it’s cute.
Anyway, my room is just as cute as our house in terms of its size. I only have a blue-covered bed that is undeniably old for you can easily notice that its color starts to fade already. It occupies almost three-fourths of my room. In its left is a quite big window with its white embroidered curtains while on the right side is a big wooden closet where my clothes are folded. Above it is a shoebox which shelters my books. They are my escape from the painful things in the real world. My closet includes a space where I put all my things related to school. I don’t usually throw things immediately, I believe they can still serve their purpose in the future when we least expect it. My pillows and blanket are also in my closet where it also has its own space. So aside from some clothes hanging from the ceiling of my room, a laundry box and two hula-hoops under my bed, you won’t see anything other than that.
The fact that rooms reflect the personality of their owners actually bothers me. Why? There are times that my room looks very pleasing but there are also times that it is terribly messy. Does it mean that I’m bipolar? Maybe yes. Maybe no.
I’m a type of person who is organized when in mood. When I am inspired and the visions of my dreams and goals are vivid to me I do things properly and systematically. Just like the books in my improvised bookshelf. I am intact, in order and silent.
But when someone or something hurts me may it be physically or emotionally, my everyday routine is affected. My mood and how I treat other people are also affected. It’s like you pulled a paper in the middle of my pile of many papers in my closet. It will collapse. It will make a mess. It can fall anywhere.
However, papers can be easily picked and bring back to where it should be placed. Someone has just to bend their back and patiently pick them all. Humility. It plays a big role in my life. Everyday, I have to struggle to apply it in my life. Being humble is not an easy thing and in this point in my life, I cannot say I’ve been a real humble person. Humility. It can change everything in every situation. Humility. It is the bridge between my good side and my bad side, the link between my two faces.

Walking into my special room, one would notice in a corner a large brown square dog bed with puppy prints all over it. Next to the bed there is a brown rectangular wooden basket that contains all sorts of chew toys for a dog. From this section, a stranger would know that we have a large sized dog that is spoiled with tons of treats and toys to play with. The majority of the room is taken up by a tan microfiber couch, loveseat, and recliner. Each piece of furniture has a throw pillow and blanket on it. From this, one may assume that whoever lives here enjoys the holidays. On one wall, there is a flat screen TV. Underneath the TV, there are piles of movies that range from sports movies such as “Throwback” to children movies such as “Shrek.” From this one can assume that the owners of this house enjoy watching a variety of movies. In addition to it, on a table against a wall placed cupcakes and candies which make the ground floor smells warm and inviting and blessedly familiar. There is a pool table on one side of the lounge and a table tennis table on the other side beside couches. In the middle are three elevators and from across is a wall of mailboxes.
