PREFACE

The successful completion of this project was a unique experience for me because by visiting many place in my locality and collecting various data, I achieved a better knowledge about our inhabitant environment. The experience which I gained by doing this project was essential. The project provides an opportunity to the student to be very sincere about the environmental issues. 1. OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:

1.1. The main objectives of this project work is: 1.1.1. To know better of my home and its surroundings. 1.1.2. To prepare the biodiversity (floral diversity, animal diversity) list. 1.1.3. To study, how water body forms an ecosystem and what types of organisms are living in the water body. 1.1.4. To make the village people who are dependent on the pond and other water bodies, conscious about water pollution. 1.1.5. To protect the water ecosystem form pollution. 1.1.6. To identify the sources of pollution and its effects on the environment near my inhabiting location.

My Home My Environment 2013 A. INTRODUCTION: a. ENVIRONMENT: Environment literally means surrounding and everything that affect an organism during its lifetime is collectively known as its environment. In another words “Environment is sum total of water, air and land interrelationships among themselves and also with the human being, other living organisms and property”. It includes all the physical and biological surrounding and their interactions. b. MY HOME ENVIRONMENT IS BETTER THAN OTHER: I live in small village named KASHIPUR ALAMPUR. My home is located at the border of my village. My home is surrounded by our garden; various types of tress are there. In the back side of my home there is large pond where various types of fishes are there. In the front side of my home we have flower garden. In the extreme back of our house we have crop field where we grow paddy. Beside our home there is large play ground where our village children regularly come to play various games. There is primary school besides that play ground and a cultural club. On the whole my home’s environment is having complete environment elements. Its beauty lies in its purity. As my home is very far from town and factories so its nature is pure and less polluted. For all of these MY HOME ENVIRONMENT IS BETTER THAN OTHER. c. BEAUTIES OF MY HOME SURROUNDINGS: i.
