My First School Memories
My first memory of school is the first day of primary school. It is my first day without the toys and a dress with a nice style. Primary school was far larger than my small kindergarten had been. It was a nice day, with hope and happiness and a lot of fun.
I pretended to be a good kid, sitting on my seat carefully. Listening to the teacher, a kind beautiful woman called Miss Zhou talking softly to us. I observed the small tables and the small chairs change into the desks, without the colors; the piano in the classroom had disappeared, the big screen and the computer is in the front of the classroom. Suddenly, a girl with a Snow White style dress was pushed into the classroom, crying loudly, by her grandparents, and made the classroom’s serious mood become funny. The teacher gave us a card with our name and gave us some stickers for the prices. I thought, ”It is just like our kindergarten.” Then, the teacher brought us to look around the school. It was an interesting trip, though it’s was tiring. The feeling of the new place and new life is the most valuable thing.
Though lunch began later than the kindergarteners’, and there was no teacher to give us rice and soup, the lunch was still delightful. We can have an adventure in the school after lunch, though at that time we were not familiar with each other, but we still played happily and found some interesting places like the small garden to hide behind the teaching building and the sandy land beside the bike shed. I remember Angle saying that the small shells in the sand were put there by her.
We had lessons in the afternoon; the textbooks were new, not like the old fairy tales books on the shelf in kindergarten. With the smiles and laughs, we left our school.
This is my first school memory, it is full of new things and happiness, when I think about my first day in school, I feel that day is one of the most interesting things happened in my

Tears soon flooded my eyes until I could no longer hold them back. I cried. In fact, I did not stop crying, I couldn't. Eventually, my sister would emerge through the doorway; she had been sent over from her classroom across the hall to comfort me. This was the morning routine of my short lived preschool career; my parents and teachers decided I wasn't ready yet for school, so they pulled me out for the rest of the year. From a young age I wasn't the biggest fan of school, even preschool wasn't appealing to me and that's saying something. When looking at how my preschool career ended quickly never would…

I'm six years old, and I'm secretly watching the girls in my class loudly chatting in the corner of the classroom. It's 2008, and I'm quietly sitting on my desk, wondering to myself: "Am I not important enough for a simple goodbye?". I nervously shift on the chair, impatiently waiting for the minutes to tick by. My red sweater is itching against my throat. The teacher came in and we begin class as usual. Ms. Claudia is talking about our final reflections…

These past few years at Lionville Middle School have been some of the most memorable and exciting parts of my life. I came to Lionville Middle School from Shamona Creek Elementary. Shamona Creek elementary was much smaller than the gargantuan, new middle school. Also, there were so many more students and teachers. I expected the middle school to be filled to the brim with classrooms and I was correct. Some of my first memories here are quietly coming into the school and looking for my classroom. I did not even know where to go or how to get there. All around I saw kids getting to their classes right away, while I was stuck in the hallways. Fortunately, I saw a friend and followed him toward my new classroom. When I got my new locker, I had…

“Turn to page three hundred and eight in your excel books”, Said the teacher. What? Shouted the boys on the left. You promised us it was prac today? This is bullshit! A general giggle erupted across the classroom. I felt sorry for the teacher as she and I both knew she was in for an hour of torture. “We only have practical classes once a week, you know that” she said hesitantly. Yeah.. well - that’s shit isn’t it! Said one of the boys. The teacher was beginning to show her frustration but she didn’t reply. She knew they got their kicks out of making her angry so she remained silent. They had made her cry a couple of times this term already. I didn’t see why they liked teasing her; but I still didn’t tell them off.…

I remembered that Mr. Lacey, our principal, announced that the school would be leaving today because of a storm. I observed Mr. Dave’s pre-k class at Montclair pre-school. I arrived at the classroom at 8:00 am to accessed the classroom as well to speak to Mr. Dave. We reviewed the day’s plan as I helped him clean up. While cleaning around the room I noticed how colorful the room was. There were: banners of letters and numbers hanging on the wall, as well as a large alphabet carpet on the floor for the kids to sit on, toys to play with and books to read. As the children arrived, they removed their belongings and placed them in the cubbies. Afterwards, they grabbed their name tags and set their lunchboxes on the lunchbox table. I played with the kids until class started at 9:00…
