My Clothings
It’s not surprising that your closet says a lot about you. What you wear can tell your type of employment, as well as your goals, emotions and spending habits. People usually think visually, so they usually see what you wear, and judge everything about you. Because of this, wearing good clothes can help you look good. Personally, I like to keep it simple. A T-shirt with some pants are usually the clothes I like to wear. I always wear my grey ADIDAS socks, with my all-black sneakers. I wear brown glasses with some hints of bronze in it. They look cool, because the brown color usually always fits my style of color, which are usually white, black, or khaki. When the season changes, however, my style changes according to it. During summer, I wear T-shirts and short pants. I sometimes wear flip-flops, sandals (with no socks on), or just plain white sneakers. At winter, I wear long-sleeved T-shirt, long pants (which are usually tan~black theme), blue jacket or a grey GAP jacket (which are my favorites), my fluffy-hooded thick black coat, grey ADIDAS socks, my black sneaker, or my snow boots. When the days get really cold, I wear gloves, hat, or some undergarments. When there are some family celebrations, I wear a blue-red shirt, black pants, black and silver belt, no ties (I hate them; they suffocate me.), and the same thing for my feet. In concert, I wear like my dad; white or black shirt, black pants, black and silver belt, and a black tuxedo. I don’t really care about my clothing styles, unless they are dirty. I don’t get why my mom says, “The color doesn’t match, Jacob. Wear a different one.” If I wear casually, people just look at me like an ordinary student, going to school. However, some people think that I am a bad student, because I am not wearing a school uniform. Ugh. I hate school uniforms. It feels like a suffocating shackles, and you would die from the heat it produces. Also, I am not a real fan of formal fashions, but school uniforms are very

In the novel The Things They Carried, by Tim O'Brien, soldiers would do just about anything to stay sane and alive during the Vietnam War. Some men would have carried things with them during the war. These same men would carry things to remind them of home, others would carry an item to help them feel better during their hardships. What these men carried was something to hold onto, moreover not an item but of a memory or a dream. Soldiers would do just about anything to stay sane and alive during the Vietnam War. I also have items that I would feel wrong without; these items are symbols of me.…

As I arrive at school, I hear girls behind me say, “Do you see what she is wearing, ew?” Everyday, I am bullied because of my attire. Because of the low income in my family, I do not always wear the most “stylish” outfits. Clothing type is one of the leading causes of bullying. Dorothy Espelage, a professor of educational psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, says she has seen an increase in "bullying related to clothes.” I believe schools need to impose school uniforms. If school uniforms were enforced, equality would be promoted to all students. Also, the uniforms would not be distracting or flashy.…

If a person is wearing old smelly clothes then people might think he is not a very clean person and that he may not have much money to buy all the new clothes. Now if you are wearing the newest Polo that just came out, then you have money and people will think you are a clean well-dressed person. That clothes you wear will certainly have an impact on how people look at you.…

Letting Kids be Kids Parents should let their kids be who they really are. Not worry about apperences, hair style, clothing. I believe kids should be who they want to be and not what they see everyone else doing, because it’s cool, or because popular kids are doing it. I am a very strong believer in letting kids dress and do what they want to their own bodies. Well to a point.…

Have you thought about how your family, your home, music and even television have influenced you on the way you behave or even dress? While I was in middle school it was mandatory for all students to wear uniform and I loved it, i felt welcome into the school and since every one had to wear the same thing no one was bullied and i became a straight A student sice i would only focuse in school. Then high school came along and I hated being there, since i couldnt affford all the nice clothes or shoes people had, i was bullied and the only thing that keep me motivated into going to school was that both my parents didnt finish high school and had to drop out to take care of their family. When i was bullied i would just think to myself and say i know that at the end of the day i will have the better laugh, and thats what happened. Most of the schools that require uniforms have a structure or a certain color that all students have to wear, but the one that dont require uniform uniform, majority of them hav a strict policy on the things they can wear. Now have you thought about what uniform would have done or did to you if you had or did wear uniform?…

Having a school uniform isn’t ideal to every student, having to wear the same clothes over and over again everyday. “A female student at Buchanan High School said students are fighting back-not only because they feel they’re not free to express themselves, but also because they believe that clothing rules shouldn’t be different between genders” (Gabrielle Sorta). Not only do students not have the right to express themselves through clothing items, but based on gender they’re extremely restricted from being different.…

What do you do, when you're about to get married to a complete stranger, who lives on the other side of the world? How do you cope with being removed from everything you know, and placed in a completely different culture? Clothes is a story about a woman's life, which is about to be turned upside down. A marriage with a man she barely knows sends her across the ocean to the daunting world of L.A. Clothes os a short story of love, arranged marriage and clothing, with Sumita as the main character. Sumita seems like a very kind, yet naïve young woman. She believes in the American beauty and that everything there is colourful and brilliant. She is quite anxious for her future, and the thought of going across seas to live with complete strangers, but the thought of her husbands shop and her beautiful saris make her take the journey, not that she has much of a choice. Though naïve and sometimes childish, she also has a sense of responsibility, and want to her her husband4. She is anxious of her future, and she's afraid of having to move all the way to America. Even though she is scared, she also seems excited, since she keeps talking about her soon-to-be-husband's shop. She seems very kind and loving in the way she talks to Somesh and the way she wants to help him. Sumita can be described as a round characters, since the definition of this term is a main character, that develops throughout the story. Sumita does exactly this. She changes from being a naïve, young girl with fear of the unknown, to a responsible woman, who is widowed at much too young an age and now leaves to follow her dreams. When Somesh was alive, none of them dared to say a word against his parents, but now Sumita no longer feels related to them. Even though she is mourning over the loss of Somesh, I think she is mostly upset about her loss of the American dream, so she sets off to find it on her own.…

    What Clothes Mean to Me

I dress for how I feel every day. Everybody has those days when they feel lousy and would prefer to sit in a pair of sloppy tracksuit bottoms and a misshapen greying t-shit and not do anything other than lounge around. These days are acceptable but only if you are staying in the confines of your own home. My mother used to say ‘If you would be ashamed to meet someone in the street, you are not dressed well enough.’ This however does not mean that you must be dressed up at all times, there is such a thing as dressing down but it is how you do it that is vital. A simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt can look just as well as a dress if you are going into town or down to meet a friend but a tracksuit looks slovenly. Many people look to the French as a race of well-dressed and sophisticated people but many of their wardrobes consist of essentials that are able to be mixed together effortlessly. It would be a rare occurrence to see them in a tracksuit unless they were coming from a gym and even then it would be well co-ordinated. So when I feel great it is reflected in my clothes and when I feel not so amazing that is also reflected.…

On the extreme opposite end of the spectrum, we can find the anti-dresser. This student will come to school in pajama pants, a torn t-shirt and a pair of sneakers with mismatched and questionably stained socks. Some kids sporting this look may have just been running a bit late or were feeling a little lazy that morning, while the others are making an almost political statement: that they don’t care what the rest of us think of them and refuse to conform to the norms. They’re not trying to impress anybody with their look and instead look for other ways to garner some attention – either through academics, athletics or social situations.…

    Do Clothes Make the Man?

We have always been told that its what`s inside that counts, and "the clothes don’t make the man ", I totally agree with this statement. In today`s world media influence people a lot about their body image, men constantly feel to have a muscular body, and wear new brand clothes. Moreover they encounter muscular and well dressed and modish men as example of their ideal body image. Even women see skinny models with fashionable clothes, makeup, jeweler on, and then try to copy them. People think by doing all this they will be more successful and accepted by society, but they forget that all this artificial stuff could never make a real man with feeling and emotion inside him. Most of the time people get so much distracted by all this artificial stuff that they lose themselves.…
