Multimodality And Adjuvant Chemotherapy
Hormonal therapy is suggested to be used individually or in combination with other modalities since it uses hormone agonists or antagonists to influence the course of cancer. It has been effective in prostate cancer. However there has been report of hormone deficiency, such as hot flashes in all hormonal blockers and the androgen antagonists also induce a metabolic syndrome that increases the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
Vaccines
Vaccines designed to trigger or enhance immune system response to cancer cells have been extensively studied and have typically provided little benefit.
Multimodality and Adjuvant Chemotherapy
The process of combining two or more methods of treatment for more effective results is termed as multimodal therapy.
