An experience many will have to go through is the beginning of starting an independent life. For example, finding one’s own housing. As exciting as it sounds, this is something that can cause a lot of stress and weigh you down as well. As for my parents, they did not have such a hassle to find a place because they took it into their own hands and compromised with each other and planned a lot of issues out. As for other, when finding one’s own place to live, there are a lot of aspects you must take into concern. For example, the area. What to look for when one finds their ideal place, look for safety. Perhaps a fire happens, make sure you have more than one exit. Check the amount of space, for instance, you want kids, you can not have a small place and want kids, make sure you have enough room for them to not be too crowded. As for the cleanliness, always look or rodents or insects, especially on the visible floors or inside cabinets and under floor rugs. This is always important because there are constant outbreaks of bed bugs and this is a serious conflict when experiencing finding a place to live. Financially, take your time. There are places that are very expensive and are not in the field of your annual income. Always be prepared and have a plan on the way to pay mortgage, water bills, electrical bills, cable bills, all sorts of bills in the book. If one does not pay for these because the housing is too expensive, then you have to start all over and find another place to live. Keep in mind that nobody can get in the way of finding a good place to live but oneself. If one finds a place they like but can not live up to the expenses, it is their fault. As for the remaining, find a place that not only you may like but what your significant other may like as well. If one has a place they

You need to see where you are at in your life and make sure that your making a wise decision. The first thing you need to look at is your job. You need to make sure that you like your job and that you are going to be working in the same location for the next few years. We even experience our own adversities everyday in smaller doses; the loss of family members, failing a class, losing a best friend, going through your first break-up, breaking an arm or a leg, getting laid off from your job, or even being the last one to get picked for baseball teams. Some may ask why these adversities are considered such a good thing? What good could root from suffering, or being miserable, or your whole world becoming seemingly impossible?…

As many of us develop, we may be able to identify those moments when some experience altered our development, or enabled us to view our environment in a different light. These experiences may have been critical in our lives, and have possibly shaped the type of adults we are now, and how we may be in the future. Personally, the experience that molded me into the adult that I am today was a negative experience. It was an experience that was spawned out of jealousy, hatred, rage, and sadness. As I reflect upon this life changing moment, I can’t help but feel as though I am transported back in time as that fearful, timid child dealing with the sorrows of others, and coping with the pain they bestowed upon me.…
