These are all great points to bring up because it helps the audience understand what is going other through not only America’s eyes, but other nation’s eye as well. Zittrain helps gain knowledge through pathos when stating facts about the American Revolution and the anti-British settlement. Such as when he states, “… proposals to ban English first surfaced in the heady days after the American Revolution. Anti-British sentiment was so strong in the new United States that only a few superpatriots wanted to get rid of English all together.” (926) This in all helps us build an emotional connection due to the importance that English has not only in a few geographical locations, but all over the world.
