Chapter 1INTRODUCTION
Rationale

Since the coming of the new generation, the computer technology has leveled up. Mostly everything now is assisted by a computer. No wonder why everyone wants to learn in using computers. Computers became a needs to our daily lives, but since not everyone has enough money to buy one, some people have made it easier for those who cannot afford it by building computer shops. These computer shops are often located to accessible places, trying to adjust where they can find good marketing – the students. Students frequently come to computer shops for various reasons. Some go to the computer shops to research for their assignments and lecture, while some go to the computer shop just to play and have fun. Either way, visiting or going to computer shops have both good and bad effect on their school performance. .

This research study is being proposed to evaluate the relationship between the location of the computer shops and the school performance of the students of The University of San Carlos Talamban Campus. The evaluation for this study will be based on the factors that influenced the students to choose the location of the computer shops that they visit such as distance from the school/accessibility, awareness of the City Ordinance, services being offered by the shop, rate per hour/promos, ambiance of the shop. The analysis of the classroom performance of the students will be correlated to the above variables. This will help determine if there is an existing relationship or nonrelationship between such variables as location of the computer shops and classroom performance of the students.

The samples were categorized as liquids and solids. Under the liquid samples were the subcategories of water and liquids other than water. Subcategories for solid samples were regularly-shaped and irregularly-shaped. All in all there were seven samples, namely water, isopropyl alcohol, coconut oil, wooden block, marble, pebbles, and an unknown liquid sample. For the density of water, a clean and dry 100ml graduated cylinder was weighed and 50ml of water was added into the graduated cylinder. The graduated cylinder with water was weighed again to get its mass. For the density of a liquid other than water, a clean and dry 10ml graduated cylinder was weighed and 5.0ml of the different liquid samples (isopropyl alcohol, coconut oil and an unknown liquid) were added to the graduated cylinder. Again it was weighed to get the mass of the liquid samples. For the density of the rectangular solid, a metric ruler was used to measure the length, width, and height of it to the nearest tenth of a centimeter. The rectangular solid was weighed to the nearest tenth of a gram. For the spherical solid, a metric ruler was used to measure the diameter of it to the nearest tenth of a centimeter. Then it was weighed to the nearest tenth of gram. For the density of the irregularly-shaped solids, a clean and dry watch glass was weighed and pieces of pebbles were put to the watch glass and weigh again. On the other hand, a 30ml of water was added to 100ml graduated cylinder, the pebbles were added to the container and the final volume was determined. A triple beam balance was used to determine the masses of all the samples. To get the mass of the sample, the mass of the container was subtracted to the mass the container with the sample. In determining the volume, four techniques can be used – measuring through graduated cylinder (direct measurement), measuring the length, width and height, measuring the circumference, and lastly, water displacement. All except the first method for…

To understand this question, we will first have to understand what methodologies mean in this context. According to my own understanding, methodology is the application of a particular procedure in an area of study. It is essentially the path taken to pursue knowledge. Although methodology and content seems to be two separate things in our everyday lives, but from the perspective of how we gain different areas of knowledge, it is in fact intervened. How can we know the knowledge itself if we do not know the methodology that is needed to pursue that knowledge? Even though the correlation between methodology and content may be tenuous in some areas of knowledge, it is impossible to define an area of knowledge without the combination of both its methodologies and contents.…
