PROPOSAL OF A MARKETING STRATEGY

Annotation

The subject of this diploma thesis is a proposal of a marketing strategy for a particular company. Scientific information on marketing process of segmentation, targetin and positioning based on different opinions in marketing theory and practice is presented within it as well as various kinds of situation and environment analysis. Furthermore, facts on CRM approach are submitted together with evaluation of suggested strategies. In the practical part the work uses information for internal and external environment research of a company and ciritical evaluation of current situation. The proposal of a marketing strategy is thereinafter set upon this basis. At the end of this work the proposal is assessed according to economic criteria.

Plans and objectives are generally tested for measurable results. Commonly, marketing strategies are developed as multi-year plans, with a tactical plan detailing specific actions to be accomplished in the current year. Time horizons covered by the marketing plan vary by company, by industry, and by nation, however, time horizons are becoming shorter as the speed of change in the environment increases. Marketing strategies are dynamic and interactive. They are partially planned and partially unplanned. Internal environmental factors include the marketing mix, plus performance analysis and strategic constraints. External environmental factors include customer analysis, competitor analysis, target market analysis, as well as evaluation of any elements of the technological, economic, cultural or political/legal environment likely to impact success.
