1. CASE SUMMARIZE

SUMMARIZE CASE
Parker is the team leader in the case. He did hired Boyce, Miller and Talbot to complete a job which was involved staking 15 claims near Eagle Lake. He hired team members which he had familiar with and assigned the team members as field assistants. The objective of the task is to complete a little over seven lengths each day in order to cover an area of 60 miles. Parker did give rewards to the team members if they can complete the task within given time. But at the end of the seventh day, they did not able to complete the task due to several problems with the team members cooperation especially Miller. Parker also involved in the problems due to incapable of being perfect team leader which was to motivate the members to complete the goals. Talbot did managed to help Boyce in completing the task, and he shows that he really wanted to gain the bonus reward from Parker. But due to Miller’s bad performance, all of the team members did not get any rewards. Parker did not able to motivate his workers to complete the assigned task especially Miller. The bonus offered by Parker is only when all of the team members completed the job at the same time. Thus, it causes the team members to feel lazy as other team members do not care about the bonus money. Parker should give special rewards to members who had completed assigned task in given time in order to motivate them every day.
