I am interested in applying for the post of Lead Nurse in Homerton Hospital because I strongly believe that it is an excellent opportunity for the further development of my skills and experience - and because it represents a challenge which I know I’ll relish. As a neonatal sister with more than 15 years of experience in nursing and management experience in Acute Hospitals within the London area I have the abilities to organize, plan and implement and provide leadership role within your department. After my nursing studies I was working as
I always address any issues regarding delayed transfer and receiving babies from other hospital as ex utero transfer and inutero transfer. I always communicate well with obstetric team and paediatric team regarding bed status. We have many long-term patients who can stay for up to 4 months, so it can be difficult and frustrating when we need to urgently admit patients but don't have a bed to do so. It requires a lot of juggling and moving of patients within short-term beds both within our directorate and other wards.
As a senior sister and clinical mentor I will ensure that all nurses are taught in an environment that is conducive for learning and consideration will be given to individual abilities. My experience as a mentor in different hospitals in London gave me the opportunity to appreciate the diversities in learning styles. This, I am sure will be of great benefit to your hospital both at an academic and clinical level.
I am committed towards my work, have the ability to work under pressure, assertive and willingness to lead and support junior colleagues and lead the unit. .
