KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) is fast food chain, well known for its chicken recipes. It belongs to Yum! Brands which is the one and only fast food group, that is known worldwide for its strong association with brands like KFC, Pizza Hut,Taco Bell (TEX-MEX), Long John Silver and A&W .
KFC’s story goes back to 1930, when Colonel Sanders invented the secret chicken recipe cooked with 11 different herbs and spices. With its success, Colonel Sanders is known throughout the country and even received the honorable title of “Kentucky Colonel” for his contribution to the American cuisine. Fascinated by new recipes and cooking method, he continues its momentum in the 60’s and grew up his company through franchise. And in 1964, 600 stores are open in the United states of America and Canada. Until his death at the age of 90, Colonel, participated in promotional activities for his brand which is now a multinational.
Today, KFC is located in 80 different countries with more than 14,000 restaurants. Three quarter of this growth is occupied by franchises. KFC makes exceptional turnover mainly due to its loyal customers. We have at least 8 million consumers per day. The brand that used to have 7 restaurants in France, has clearly accelerated its growth in recent years, and had 48 restaurants and aims, now to reach 200 restaurants in 2015. KFC wants to enhance its relationship with France, country where the brand has a significant growth potential, through Franchise.

Yum! Brands or simply Yum (formerly Pepsico, and then calld Tricon global restaurant until 2002) is an American company based in Louisville, Kentucky. It is the world’s leading fast food company, with about 33,000 establishment in more than 100 countries. The Yum! Brands owns several fast food chains such as Pizza hut, Taco Bell, KFC, Long John Silver’s and A&W Food.
