By doing this self-assessment I learned about my strengths. I was aware that I accept full responsibility for my actions and results of my life. Since I was a little girl, my mother bestowed in me that, “Life is nothing but the result of the choices you make.” I know that my destiny is counting on me. I know what motivates me and what choices hinder my success. Choosing between the two is the challenge; I call that self-warfare. I believed that I scored high in: accepting personal responsibility, discovering self-motivation, and adopting lifelong learning. I feel really good about my strengths.

Also, explore how you feel about these scores. Remember the saying, "If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you always got." With this thought in mind, write about any specific changes you'd like to make in yourself during this course. Your entry might begin, "By doing the self-assessment, I also learned that I..."

“To See Who Was Best on the Plantation: Enslaved Fighting Contests and Masculinity in the Antebellum Plantation South”, written by Sergio Lussana, gives us insight into the life of those on Southern plantations from the male slave perspective. In comparison to the amount of information available on the role of women in slavery, there is surprising less information about men. This may be attributed to the fact that slave communities on plantations were matriarchal societies. Nevertheless, Lussana offers valuable information based largely on the accounts of former slave diaries.…

After taking the self-assesment I have discovered a few thing I did not know about myself. I figured out my strengths and weaknesses and have found out I am a successful student! One of my highest scores was in 'Accepting Personal Reponsibility' another was 'Mastering Self-Management'. I am very well organized and it is very unlikely for me to not accept responsability when I am at fault. My lowest score was 'Believing In Myself' which was hard to believe since I always try to push myself past any challenge.…

This was a really eye opening experience. The inventory got me thinking about many different aspects and how I learn and approach different problems and situations. The implication is that the different selfs (physical, emotional, social, critical, creative, and passionate) affect how you learn. In some situations you might be more confident in yourself than others. However, after you complete the self profile it is not really well defined about what the term survival, maintenance, and enhancement means. I can deduce that the survival means that I am just getting by, the maintence means I am trying but have to work at it, and enhancement means that I have mostly mastered that portion of myself. This would open up a discussion with the support team as to what your strengths and weaknesses are. I know for myself by thinking about the questions, it made more aware and as I go into a situation, I might think differently about how I approach the…
