I. Introduction
A. Attention Getter: Video of iPhone ad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4IRsCjMqdI B. Background and Audience Relevance: Most people in this class have smart phones and most of those smart phones happen to be iPhones. iPhones can do more things than most people know, and now days most people cannot live without their iPhones.
C. Speaker Credibility: As an iPhone owner of 2 years, I have learned a lot about what iPhones can do and why me and most people who own iPhones cannot go for a day without their phones.
D. Thesis: iPhones are so technologically advanced that they can do almost anything and also has had a tremendous effect on society.
E. Preview of Main Points: First, I am going to give you some background information on the iPhone, and second, I will tell you what the iPhones advantages and disadvantages are.

Transition to first main point: First, I am going to start off by giving you background information on the iPhone.

II. Main Point 1
Since June 2007, iPhone has been dominating the cell phone world, and according to Forbes Magazine, Apple sold 5 million iPhone 5’s in its opening weekend.

A. Apple Inc. is the company that has created and has been making iPhones since 2007. The genius behind this invention was a man named Steve Jobs. Jobs believed that cell phones were going to be an important part of people’s lives and they were going to need excellent software to make that possible. Ever since 2007 iPhone has come a long ways. At first the iPhone was only available on an AT&T contract, but in 2011 iPhone was expanded first to Verizon Wireless, then to Sprint.
B. The iPhone comes with several built in features one of them being something called iOS. According to apple.com, iOS is “The world’s most advanced operating system.” iOS allows the iPhone to be used in the most effective and easiest way possible.
