Technical Drawing Related Career Report

Industrial Engineers serve as a bridge between management and operations. They combine their solid engineering background with good business sense and management ability. They figure out the best use of facilities, equipment and people for the most cost efficient and productive way to make or process a product. Industrial Engineers concentrate on improving manufacturing productivity and reducing costs associated with inventory. They are also concerned with worker safety and work environment. In order to be any engineer, you must love math, science and solving problems. Whether it 's figuring out how to erect a structurally sound skyscraper, design a more efficient car engine. Engineers at the most basic level are problem solvers. Engineering is a career based on logical, systematic problem solving, generally in high-tech, industrial, or scientific fields. Industrial engineers determine the most effective ways for an organization to use the basic factors of production—people, machines, materials, information, and energy—to make a product or provide a service (Occupational Outlook Hand Book). Engineers apply scientific and technical knowledge to address their problems and tasks faced by businesses and governments. An Industrial engineer is made up of these characteristics interested in technical and engineering work, good oral and written communication skills, practical and creative, technical aptitude, able to work without supervision, able to accept responsibility. Engineers have a hand in all phases of development, from idea conception, design and development, implementation and testing to customer support. Industrial engineers have many responsibilities; one is to increasing productivity through their management skill. With there skill they manage people, methods of business organization, and technology than are engineers in other specialties. They generally work more with products or processes. Another

Civil Engineers have to know how to design and assemble shapes to construct buildings, dams, bridges, tunnels, highway systems. Civil Engineer must understand and know how to compute such quantities as lengths, areas, volumes, centroids, moments of inertia, and curvatures of a building. Civil Engineers also help build my most favorite place in the world, they help with the designing of soccer fields. The whole field is 120 by 75 yards, the midfield has to be right in the middle of the field, they also have to measure the size of the keeper box which is 6 yards by 20 yards and the penalty box is 18 yards by 40 yards, they also have to help construct the goals that is the length of 8 yards, and last the corners of the field have to be exactly 90 degrees with a quarter circle on the inside of the field so we know where to take the corner kick…

The nature of engineering is learning to apply scientific and mathematical principles towards developing solutions of technical problems. Engineers are the secret link between scientific discoveries and the commercial applications that meet consumer needs. Many engineers develop new products in which components are precisely specified. For instance, the product must be effective, reliable, safe, and be sold at a decent price. This process applies to the development of chemicals, computers, power plants, helicopters, and much much more. These engineers supervise factory production, determine causes of machinery failure and test goods so to maintain quality. (Career Info)…

“Millions of people saw an apple fall, but Newton was the one who asked why”, said Bernard Mannes Baruch (1870 – 1965) an advisor to more than 40 Presidents. And that is why I chose the major Engineering, because I just want to know why. Why do planes fly? Why does the Sun shine? I believe that Engineering is the answer to all of the scientific questions asked. The definition of Engineer is a person that is an expert in technology. They design machines, computer programs, buildings, and chemical processes. They use science to build better things that help us everyday in everyway. Without engineers, the world would stop. My father is an engineer, graduated from the University of Poona in the state of Maharashtra, India. Therefore, since my dad was an engineer, great importance was attached to subjects like Math and Science from a very young age. Those subjects were always first priority because with those subjects, it is possible to do anything.…

Engineers are technically skilled professionals who are responsible for solving problems. Their main focus is on making things work efficiently and effectively by applying the theories and principles of sciences and mathematics to research, and develop economic solutions to technical problems. The Engineer differs from the scientist by the nature of their training. While the scientists try to explore the natural world and discover new knowledge about the universe and how it works, engineers apply that knowledge to solve real problems, often with an eye toward improving cost and efficiency. The purpose of engineering is to innovate, design, create and maintain products, system and equipment for the benefit and wellbeing of humans. Their works are the link between the perceived social needs and economic applications. They are the bridge between science and art.…
