Humorous Wedding Speech By A College Athlete
First, I would like to thank everyone who came out today. All those people at home and all of the incredible athletes in front of me. I would also like to thank my family for personally being there for me though our fight. This is the first and the last time earning something so wonderful along with all these others.
It is an absolute honor to be here tonight receiving this accomplished award here at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Joining people like Wayne Gretzky and other talented individuals who have won one of these. I am short on time but I hope by the end I want to have said something that will be important to everyone in this room.
When people ask how we got through these games, it’s always the same. To me, there are three things we should all do every day. We should

I need your help. We need money for ice and gear. It may not seem like a big deal but it really is. It may introduce this wonderful game to someone you love, and ESPN has been kind enough to support me, which means what? Their money and their support is going into my new foundation to get kids off the couch and even off the streets to come out and play a game they will love and cherish forever.
It’s coming down to it now. I thank God for the opportunity to be here today and for the ability to come over here and become an Olympic Champion alongside these teammates beside me. If you see me shake my hand. That is important to me. If you can try to support whether it is this foundation or for something more important to you. I can thank ESPN enough for allowing this to happen. I am going to work as hard as I can for my cause and hopefully in four years I will be back watching Americas future stars earn themselves the honor of a lifetime.
I know, I gotta go, I gotta go; and I got one last thing, and I said it before, and I want to say it again. It is an honor to serve this country and introduce the game of hockey to all those kids just hoping for a chance. Only you can make that

I am contacting you to inform you of some issues that have I have been concerned with when it comes to Kami and her performance on the JV cheer team. First and foremost, I just want to let you know that it has been a pleasure working with Kami on our team. Kami brings a very energetic and infectious vibe to our team. She has grown tremendously as an individual and as an athlete. However, lately, it is that same energetic and infectious behavior that has become a distraction for the team, especially during our practices. Today, Kami and her team had to run three laps because she was laughing and talking during stunts. As you know as a longtime cheer parent, stunting is a time that has to be taken seriously, otherwise there is the potential for…

Ten years ago I joined the best supportive family anyone could ever ask for. When I came to Thurgood Marshall I was a shy little girl in her shell trying to find herself. I had low self`esteem and was always worried about what others had thought about me. Being in TMA and growing up with this family has helped me mentally and emotionally especially with the passing of my uncle which was a tough thing for me to get over.…

“We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of detrimination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort (Jesse Owens, Olympic Trackstar),” I do not fear the unknown; I fear the day I stop trying to be the best. I cannot change that currently, people are faster than me, but that shouldn’t stop me from taking lead and becoming the best. Each time I race, I think of the pride I will feel afterwards if I give it my all, to take home a win, but also I think of the shame and humiliation I will feel if I don’t. Even if I am not currently the best, I know one day my hard work and mental toughness will pay off in some way, because it’s how badly I want to be the champion, and that is what I work for everyday of…

Thank you so much, Coach, thank you, ESPN, and thank you, everyone. The award for Best Breakthrough Athlete is a huge honor, but much bigger than just me. This year I had a lot of experience being part of events that are bigger than myself. At times, I felt like I was trapped in an inescapable crevice, and I know I will be able to climb out. But I’m here tonight to tell you the lessons I learned about teamwork, perseverance, and staying relaxed will never leave me.…

First off, I'd like to say it's an honor for me to be around such great football players from the past and present. Knowing that I am now part of college football history is something that is hard to put into words. This has always been a dream of mine to join the Heisman fraternity, whose names include Roger Staubach, Archie Griffin, Earl Campbell, Marcus Allen, Barry Sanders...the list goes on and on. It truly is an honor to be accepted with open arms from all these past greats. I'd like to thank the Heisman Committe as I accept this award on behalf of my teammates. I hope you guys have a sense of accomplishment, because this is just as much you as it is me. This is an award I couldn't have received with out you guys. I know this is meant to be an individual award; however, in this case, this truly is a team award. I'd like to thank all my coaches on the staff at the university. Thank you for giving me a chance to play for you and teaching me not only about football, but life experiences as well. I'd like to thank my high school coaches as well. Thank you for installing discipline in me and a toughness to keep going and never give up. I'd also like to thank my family. I don't know where I would be or what I would do in life without you guys. You've guided me the right direction throughout my life through the good and the bad. You have raised me to be the man I am today. My dad, who taught me about work ethic everyday growing up. My mom, who installed in me so many great characteristics such as confidence, leadership, and discipline. My two brothers, Steve, and Joe, you guys are great role models who I look up to. All of our fans out there watching at home, thank you so much for all your support. Taking the field for each and every game in front of all of you is an incredible experience that I live for and certainly will never forget. I would also like to thank my competitors for this award. Tony, Rick and John you guys are great. Each and…

Good morning, I’m Alexandra Heminsley. I have run several marathons (five and counting) , but I was not always a runner. Today I’m here to talk to tell you that you as well can achieve your goals and tell you about how I achieved mine. In fact I never quite associated running with myself until in my thirties. My flatmate was a runner, and she would always come back from her runs with a certain glow, and I told her that I wished I could run like her.…

No longer standing as an individual person that worked alone but a part of a well oiled machine. That year I earned my first award from my high school coaches, it was an award that stood for team spirit, showing my support and bright spirits in every practice, every game. It was an award that reminded me of the true importance of being positive and supportive through every game. Sports rely heavily on the physical aspects but the mental is just as important and if the mental game starts to fall apart then what can the team really accomplish…
