How To Write A Short Story Told By Stephen Addison Essay
Stephen Addison, born in the rough city of Wilmington, Delaware, had a hard life as a child. His mother had always struggled with providing essential needs for her children. Stephen’s mother only had money for her children to get a limited amount of clothing, so Stephen had to wear the same clothes almost every week and add slight changes to them. However, his family struggles never interfered with his school work. Stephen decided that if he wanted a better life, he would have to join the military instead of going college. In 2008, after Have being permanently been out of the military for two months. Stephen found himself with the same problem as his mother; he found himself with a young daughter, and very little money,and post traumatic stress disorder. Adding to this picture a catastrophic divorce and custody battle.

Stephen was always stressed about how he was going to make ends meet, whether it was for gas, to pay for his daughter’s private school

Stephen also in attending Strayer University for his Associate's degree in Forensic Accounting and plans to take a test this summer to become a Certified Public Accountant. He always thanks God for his success and always tells his children about his many life experiences so that they don’t make the same mistakes he did. Stephen teaches his children about the importance of an education and that you have to be prepared for the “real world”. Stephen wants the best for his family and if that requires his blood,sweat and tears, that’s what he’ll contribute.

“Everybody goes through trials in their life, but you gotta keep pushing” says Stephen when you ask him about his life now. Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you wish, but you only spend it once. No matter what obstacles get in your way never let them get you down. Continue to stay focused on what you dream of and never stray away from that
