Grit Paragraph A good example when I had grit was when I had to climb a mile high mountain when I went to Colorado Springs, Colorado for a wrestling trip during the summer. On a hot and sunny day in Colorado Springs, Coach Voss, the head coach who planned the trip, said that we were going to do some hiking. I was excited at first until I saw the mountain that we had to climb. It looked like it was going to be about a thirty minute hike, but it actually was an hour climb. When I started climbing with some of the guys, we went at it with a steady pace, but then it got to the point to where we started getting more up the mountain and the steady pace slowly dwindled to a walk.
