How To Read The Percy Jackson Series
I love to read because of the Percy Jackson series. `My mom use to read them to me and now I read them to myself. They are my favorite series and I have read more of the writer’s different series too. The writer's name is Rick Riordan. I also like to read book about the stars, constellations, and the myths for the people that are in the stars. I like adventure/drama too. Some adventure/drama stories I like are about children whose parents died or are trying to save them from a villain. I don’t like to write unless I write about my family or a fairy tale with the help of my mom, dad, step mom, or the inspiration from my sister. My family is the best thing that happened to me since I was born. I think the reason I love to write about my family

The book I had chosen for my book project was Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. The main character in this book was Percy Jackson his father is Poseidon the god of the sea and his mother is a normal human. In the book he discovers more of his abilities he inherited from his father and he learns to like his half-brother Tyson. Tyson is also a son of Poseidon, but instead of a human he is a Cyclops. He is younger than Percy and embarrasses Percy all the time. Although he is not smart he is incredibly strong like all other Cyclops and he is very loving and caring. Another character is Annabeth. She is the daughter of Athena and like Percy, her other parent is human. She is very confident and brilliant. She doesn’t like to be proved wrong. Although she is sometimes harsh on Percy she does value his friendship. Then there is Clarisse the daughter of Ares. She is extremely hot headed. In this book she travels with Percy, Tyson, and Annabeth to prove herself to her father and all the other half bloods and camp Half-Blood.…

Most people can remember their parents reading them bedtime stories as a kid, but I can’t recall if my parents did. That could be a reason as to why I was never crazy about books, and surely never wanted to read one. I eventually gave into reading and found that I loved it. My favorite book series’ to read when I was young were Captain Underpants, Goosebumps, and Shadow Children. Each book series brought out a different part of me, and introduced me to new ways of life. They sort of molded me, but I stopped reading books after the fourth grade; I just couldn’t find anything interesting. Although, I didn’t really look to read anyway, books and I just kind of drifted apart. I got back into books freshman year because Dr. Maxfield wanted our class…

My personal reading history is a simple one. I've always read books that appeal to me, typically young adult books with a storyline based on teenagers and their struggles, romances, or friendships. A low point in my reading history would be that I have found myself sometimes having to reread chapters because I felt I didn't fully understand. A good example would be The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I would reread almost every chapter of this book because it was a difficult read for me. A high point in my reading history would be when I read Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah, this is my favorite book. This book made feel very emotional and connected to the characters, I was addicted to reading it and every moment I had available…
