Management at Kudler Fine Foods now wants to see the proposed audit schedules for the systems analyzed by the team in Week Two.
1) Distinguish between the types of audits that might be used for each process.
There are five processes at Kudler Fine Foods what will be audited. These processes are the communications process, the financial process, information systems process, marketing process and facilities process. Kudler Fine Foods is a gourmet food store and has the objective of provided excellent customer service, professionalism, and finest gourmet food to its clients. The firm encourages it employees, customers, and suppliers to communicate with it. Kudler Fine Foods tries to maintain its financial accounting and reporting system with integrity, it also intends to modernize its information system process through modernization. Kudler Fine Foods will depends on its marketing process for ensuring brand reputation and sales. Finally, Kudler Fine Foods uses its facilities to store the products it sells as well as the place where customers purchase the products.
For its communication process, and information systems process, Kudler Fine Foods will carry out a performance audit, for its financial system it will carry out an external and internal audit, for its marketing process it will carry out a performance audit, and for facilities, Kudler Fine Foods will carry out an internal audit.
For its communications system, Kudler Fine Foods will carry out an operations audit. The audit will ascertain the manner in which the phones are functioning, how messages are received after working hours and how messaging is used. In addition, the audit procedure will examine and evaluate the from desk management, internet and intranet, and the guidelines for communication. The compliance with legal issues will also be examined during communications audit.
