General Douglas MacArthur: War Hero of a Nation
Definition of Terms General Douglas MacArthur was the commander of the United States Armed Forces in the Far East1 and the US Army. The word “war hero” is used just as what it really means - one who shows great courage, especially if it could have taken his life. The war that it refers to is the World War II. “Nation” is also used just as what it really means, “a group of people”, yet we do not just end there. We see nation as a country, which stood up for their independence from the cruelty of another nation that basically just sabotaged their nation. The first nation that is being talked about is the Philippines, and the other one is Japan.
Introduction

When Filipinos come to think of it, there are some who have probably forgotten him or possibly did not know what he did for us at all. Having been given the task to write about the American rule in the Philippines, I have decided to concentrate on writing about what General MacArthur did for the Philippines during World War II. Although I learned about General MacArthur at a very young age, I never completely understood what he had really done for us. As I inquired from people about General Douglas MacArthur, they did not really know anything about him because apparently, he was only known for his famous line, “I shall return.” Being my curious self, I thought to myself that there must

Blair began his book with an all out attack on President Truman, specifically Truman’s distrust of military officials and his decision of cutting back on the military’s budget; which, Blair claimed, cost many American lives. The book is in many ways a critical overview of the leadership of the American forces in Korea The Forgotten War is probably the most detailed book on any war that one could find; it also seems to be very critical of every military or political official involved in the Korean War. Blair’s book explains the placement, objective, and every command level decision.…

First, when it comes to the people who were involved in the whole history about our country, many of them exert their efforts and their ideas on how things are possible and how it can work. Different places also contributed their ideas to the development of the history by observations that they had recorded.…
