Star Wars manufacturers are making more Kylo Ren and Finn related merchandise instead of making more Rey toys. In the article, “Social media firestorm awakens toymakers to an absent Rey,” by Newsela, the author writes, “...Twitter exploded with the hashtag ’#wheresrey’... an 8-year-old girl wrote Monopoly maker Hasbro, saying ’girls matter’”(Newsela paragraph 3). The people are saying that toy makers are not making enough toys that include the main female actress in Star Wars, Rey.
