Option # 1 Write an essay with the theme of your first quotation

"Experience is Knowledge"

Many regrets may burden ones mind throughout their life. This is a totally normal part of ones life that one may have no control over. "A man should never be ashamed to own he has been in the wrong, which is by saying, in other words, that he is wiser today than he was yesterday." - Alexander Pope (1688-1744) It is important that one will learn from their mistakes and take out a valuable lesson learned through their actions. The world does not stop for your sake, it simply keeps going and does not put into consideration that the day did not go accordingly to plans. It is perfectly normal for one to feel question or doubt of a certain action performed. Anyone that is human would have this reaction to something that was a difficult decision to make. As many will come to see, life was not equipped with a pause button to put everything on hold so life as we know it can be put back into order. So many little things happen everyday, if a person would let all of these things get under their skin, life would be better known as "hell." The best advice one could use would be to learn from the mistakes made, and become wiser with each one made. Should mistakes be looked at as something to be ashamed of? Being a human, mistake are inevitable. There is no such thing as someone who has not ever questioned an action performed or a decision made. Humans are given a conscious, this is strictly for making decisions. It helps one makes decisions by questioning everything. By doing this, uncertainty is not out of the question. Wrong choices, and bad actions are not something one should ever be ashamed of. Wrong choices, and bad actions that are performed more

Our experiences and the way we react to them shape who we become. Dwelling on a particular event will not help us succeed in life; whether the event be positive or negative. “Turn your mind from the ship, child. It is nothing but a rotting carcass in the grass. The carcass has shocked you with its stink and its flies. But you have walked past it, already, and now you must keep walking” (122). There are events in our lives that will shock us and leave us unsure of what to do, or whether we should keep moving on. I realised that the responsibility of the decisions was mine alone and the fact that I should accept the blame when the decisions back fired with a straight face, at the end of the day maybe I was wrong but even importantly I realised it was ok to mistakes but what was unacceptable was repeating them. At some point in everybody’s life, there comes a time when they have to make a choice and its often a crisis between what they actually want to be and the expectations, peer pressure and lot of other factors .While some do despite all barriers follow what their heart says, some bow down to the pressure that the society and other factors inflict on them and eventually the passion that drove them fizzes out and they become used to a template sort of life. But that was not the sort of life I wanted , following my heart, chasing my dreams with the passion for making them come true being the major motivating factor , I dint want to ever stop trying and get sucked into the conventional life that millions live every day. After years into the future , I did not want to regret about the way I had lived my life or rue about missed chances that I could have taken and changed the course of my life.…

Some might have the knowledge to fix the mistakes right away, and some will continue to add on more mistakes. Throughout my vast experience, I wonder, what would happen if this and that never occurred? So in my own imaginary world, I contemplate on the possibilities of where I can be right now. I myself have been in this situation a million times which I say regretfully but not every time did I get to the point of feeling the need to curse God but most of the time I do admit to asking God why me? Why now? What did I do to deserve this? I remember distinctively that each time I asked those questions, nothing about that situation got any better than it had before I asked those questions. I remember a similar story that a pastor at my church had mentioned while speaking at a service one time. He said to take one very good positive in your life and you can take the same one as many times as you want as long as it is significant to us and keep that in your heart and…

    You Only Live Once

I believe we all live once to attain a successful endeavor that not only provides the necessities for yourself but can facilitate to those that are near you. Mistakes are bound to happen when pursuing this successful role toward “only living once” but knowing the difference between knowing if a mistake will happen and having a mistake happen during your actions that take place is different. For example you could be studying for an exam in math and English but decided to study for math because you assume you will do more poorly at it than English because you have always been average in Math and English is not a problem, so as test day comes and you take the math test you seem to not have a problem but as you took the English exam you take longer because you had not equally balanced the study time and had not focused on what the exam was really going to be so you did poorly on the subject you thought you’d do well in, that is a mistake that was not done without knowing. An example of just knowing the mistake is when your hanging out with your group of friends and your offered a substance you are not suppose to abuse and have thought about a wrong factor that may interfere with your actions if you follow the steps of your peers but even as that thought came across you do it anyways…
