Essay On Universal System Of Healthcare
When citizens of a given country provide benefits of healthcare without the cost and financial hardship, this is called Universal System of Health Care. The Universal System of Health Care does not only cover the financial aspect of health care however it also applies to health promotion, prevention and treatment, rehabilitation and palliative care. In order for a country to develop universal healthcare coverage, there are several factors that must be in implemented such as an efficient healthcare service, financial support, essential medication and a sufficient amount of healthcare workers (World Health Organization 2015). The majority of well-developed nations has developed, implemented and provided these factors to distribute Universal System of Health Care to its citizens. Unfortunately the United States happens to be the only well-developed nation that cannot provide financial support and sufficient amount of healthcare workers to create a Universal System of Health Care as well as a variety of other reasons. The first reason is that several individuals believe that if some people want to have healthcare then they have the right to get healthcare. The gross debt of the United States is currently at $18,150,604,916,000 (US Government spending 2015). If the United States were to push for a universal healthcare system, they predicted that the federal debt would increase by about $700 billion while the deficit would increase from $583 billion to about $1.5 trillion within the next 10 years (Procon 2015). If the federal debt and deficit continues to increase over the next 10 years, it could lead to another great depression where jobs would be lost and no healthcare would be
