Essay Comparing Poe And Ray Bradbury

Edgar Allan Poe and Ray Bradbury are both amazing writers of many popular books. Even though they do write in different styles they have some things in common. Both men write more about supernatural things that other authors don’t write about. Besides the supernatural stuff they do write most books on literary devices: irony, alliteration, foreshadowing, and imagery. The reason they do this is to give the reader think about the concept more. Also it gives the reader that feeling like you are living it. Edgar Allan Poe does has a lot of passion and knowledge in his writing, because he lived a difficult life. His father left and his mother died when he was 3. So, imagine not having either parent in your life. Poe got engaged and his wife was a big part of his life. When he was three he wrote poems on the back of newspapers. Later in life he got a job writing with newspapers but he was drinking and got fired, like most jobs. After that he wrote many books and soon became a literary sensation. Some books today that are really known are, Tell Tale Heart, The Raven, and The Black Cat. Poe unfortunately lost his wife and mysteriously died soon after.
Unlike Poe, Bradbury lived a happy life in suburban Illinois. He enjoyed things like magicians, and mostly books. He grew up with a more unwealthy family, so he went to the library to read very often. After, he supported himself by writing newspapers and soon became big during world war II. Bradbury got married and had children ,but outside of his family he just wrote books like non-stop. He got many awards for his great books some like, There Will Come Soft Rains and Fahrenheit 451. His daughters and granddaughters kept him alive in his work, and he has been an inspiration to literary teachers
