Emogenius: Team Analysis
GSN’s newest game show Emogenius is set to make its series premiere June 7 at 9:00pm ET. Hosted by Hunter March, from Awesomeness TV, the tech-savvy game show has two pairs of teams face a series of three rounds where they will have to decipher famous names, places, events, TV shows and other pop culture references solely based on the emojis shown on the screen, as shown in the sneak peek promo below. The team with the highest cash total at the end of the third round wins the game and advances to the bonus round to play for the show’s $10,000 grand prize. Today’s article will specifically breakdown how each of the four rounds are played.

If they are stumped by the first clue, they are allowed to make “in-app purchases” and buy up to two more clues. Guessing the puzzle in one clue is worth $300, using two clues is worth $200 and using three clues drops the value down to $100. Teams will have 20 seconds to solve the category. If time expires, the opposing team has five seconds to guess for the remaining value of the category. Similar to the previous round, four categories are played.

Round 3: Hit Send
On each team, one contestant is the clue-giver and has 45 seconds to get their teammate to guess as many words as possible by sending them a message using a keyboard filled with 14 preselected emojis. The emojis change with every new word that appears. Each correct answer is worth $400. The team with the highest total at the end of the round wins the game, keeps their winnings and advances to the bonus round

Round 4: Masters of Text
The end game is similar to the third round except both teammates alternate as the clue-giver. The team has one minute to solve five messages correctly. If successful, the team’s winnings are boosted up to

When James Haliday (creator of the OASIS) passed away six years ago, in his will was a video. That video explained that before he died, Haliday inserted “easter eggs” into his most popular game. He programmed in three different keys to three different gates. The first player to open the last gate wins Haliday’s fortune of over 240 billion US dollars. Haliday gave gunters, people who tried to win the contest, a hint in the form of a riddle. This riddle led them to one of the keys which then had another riddle, this was how pleople were supposed to find all the keys and gates. The Sixers are the yin and the gunters are the yang. The Sixers are a multimillion dollar company with experts who are trying to win the prize. This is considered unfair to the gunters, who are by themselves and think the Sixers ruin the spirit of the contest. This scavenger hunt all inside the OASIS has been going on for six years. Yesterday a gunter claimed the prize.…

When I first played the game, I didn’t really have any initial strategy in mind. I just picked numbers at random to choose until getting down to the last few. I thought this game was very simple and easy to understand. One key insight I had was to cross out three marks to get rid of most of the marks. When it came down to the final three or four marks, I had to look carefully at them to see what numbers I could choose before the next person’s turn, so after their turn there would be one, two, or three marks left. For instance, if there were 5 marks left, I could cross out one, and then any number the next person picked would leave me with a number of marks I could cross out with one, two, or three crosses. This is when I realized the strategy of this game.…
