Education in Pakistan
According to a 2010 British Council report, this forced imposition of Urdu on non-Urdu speakers in Pakistani schools and universities has resulted in the systematic degradation and decline of many of Pakistan's indigenous cultures, is partly responsible for a rise in reactionary rebellions against thisethnocracy (such as Sindhi nationalism, Baloch insurgency etc.), and contributes to discontent and political instability in the country.[28] The report also cites rising illiteracy rates in Pakistan among the indigenous and attributes it to the forced imposition of Urdu in schools, leading to non-Urdu speakers, feeling threatened by the neglect of their languages in Pakistani education, becoming increasingly reluctant to enroll in these schools.

In Human development Report Pakistan is placed at 136th position for having just 49.9% educated population. Some of the very basic flaws of the education system in Pakistan contribute to the economic, ethnic and sociopolitical crisis within the country.

An educated female population is more threatening to Pakistan then a large army with a lot of weapons. Malala, a Pakistani girl who was shot in the head by a Taliban soldier wanted to experience education like all the other young girls of her age in other countries. Pashtuns is one of the main culture in Pakistan. There is a myth in their culture that women should not be educated.I believe that there are other million girls out there in the world who are also not provided education.Prents should, whatever their religion or culture, must enrol their children in schools if they are able to afford it.Education is the only wealth that does not perish but grows and spreads.Women must also not be considered as second-class citizens. They should also be given a say in the parliament and in politics. These Pakistanis who are against educated women should understand that these women will benefit their country economically and socially and are not a threat. Keeping a country's population uneducated will only cause an increase in crimes, unemployment and in turn cause chaos. The future of Pakistan will be a question if such saddening issues of gender inequality and uneducated population are raised.…

There are many among the youth of our country who underestimate the beauty of Pakistan; they fail to see the treasures hidden under the cultural landscape and look at it condescendingly, comparing it to other countries with superficial “luxuries” to offer. Among the many things that are unwary of, they do not know that this wondrous land which is the sixth most populous country in the world, boasts the second largest Muslim (and Shi’ite Muslim) population, only after Indonesia. It has been listed as one of the next eleven economies identified by Goldman Sachs investment bank and is believed to have a high potential of becoming the world’s largest economies in the 21st century, Insha’ALLAH.…

IGNORANCE! Ignorance is the basic mistake done from past fifty years when the government should have spent money on education for all. Do you know why there was ignorance? It was because the people were uneducated. They didn’t have manners and the big power countries of the world were laughing on them.Pakistan of my dreams is filled up with the best scholars of the world and everyone is well educated. Their chant is always the same and that is “Education is the most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world”. I can see in my dream that none of the students has to leave the school because of teachers’ strict behaviour. Schools, colleges and universities are providing education not just working as degree issuing machines. People in the villages have best educational institutions on their door-step. Now there is no brain drain, rather students from different parts of the world come to Pakistan for education. We have…

Every year the government of Pakistan publishes some report or the other about education. If not specifically about education, at least the Economic Survey of Pakistan, carries a chapter on education. These reports confess that the literacy rate is low, the rate of participation in education at all levels is low and the country is spending too little in this area. Then there one brave promises about the future such as the achievement of hundred percent literacy and increasing the spending on education which has been hovering around 2 percent of the GNP since 1995 to at least 4 percent and so on. Not much is done, though increases in the number of schools, universities and religious seminaries (madrassas) is recorded. The private sector mints millions of rupees and thousands of graduates throng the market not getting the jobs they aspired to. The field of education is a graveyard of these aspirations. The following indicators point grimly to where Pakistan stands in South Asia.…

Today Pakistan is facing many challenges from within and beyond. Terrorism, drone attacks, pitiful law and order situation, bad economic conditions, education dilemma, corruption, energy crisis and so many others. There are many factors behind these problems, but one of the most important and vital is the foreign influence that is weakening Pakistan. Pakistan is not completely independent yet. The policies both political and economic are framed partially or completely by the involvement of big players. Their involvement is not confined to that extent but even more, they are spreading defeatist ideas using different tools. Youth are the actual target, they are made confused and thus they start imitating the society of foreign nations. Iqbal in his metaphoric tone exclaimed:…
