This happened about a century ago, when what we call, “modern medicine” was born. The empirical doctors were treating diseases with natural herbs curing their patients by treating the cause of the disease, and not treating the symptoms. In the 1800s, a patient could choose to be treated by an allopathic doctor or the more natural healer, called a homeopath. The two groups had a large debate.
