eBay is an online marketplace where both individuals and businesses can buy and sell goods and services to people around the world.

One important thing to note is that eBay only provides the platform for buyers and sellers to meet.

This means that eBay does not keep stocks of goods, nor do they dispatch your purchase to you. Anything that you buy from eBay will come to you direct from the seller that you are transacting with.

No, there are various fees and options to sell items on Ebay.

In fact, selling on eBay can end up being an extremely costly transaction. EBay is constantly revising their fee structure, but here are some of the fees you're looking to pay.

1). listing fee (between 10 cents to $4 dollars, regardless if your item sells). This is for a basic listing. If you want to add listing "addons" these will cost you more.
2). selling commission (if you sell you're item, has a fee scale) roughly 8.75% of your first $25, then 3.50% of any amount up to $1000 and so on.
3). paypal fees (if you use paypal to collect payment) - about 3% of amount collected
4). shipping fees (you'll probably be able to charge the user for this fee, but make sure you ask for enough, because otherwise you'll end up covering any shortage)
