Duty Of Care

Duty of care- when caring for people that are able and capable of doing things on their own but are in your care. If there is a basketball session and the floor is not dry or hasn’t been dried properly and a child slips and has an injury the person that is caring for the child in the session can be sued for negligence. It’s the duty of the carer to make sure it’s safe to play in a certain activity.
Higher duty of care- is for people that are less able of doing basic things daily on their own (young people and children)
Higher duty of care is similar to duty of care refers to a legal obligation to one person for example a coach or a teacher to ensure safety of their class or group. However, if a coach or teacher has a duty of care then the headmaster

The regulatory bodies make sure there’s safety of people in a certain group. An example of this is the FIFA, they would only ensure that there is safety around in football. While legislations look at safety in more than one area of sport. They look at sport areas where individuals play to make sure there is safety in check like first aid kits, fire and safety in every sporting event. It also makes sure that everyone is treated fairly i.e. male and female taking part in sport.
