Drugs, are usually used in medical purpose such as painkiller, because of human in abusing drugs, drugs has been restrict as it is danger to human health and it will caused addiction. The reasons that people often taking drugs is because that drugs make them feel good, because ‘drug act directly on the limbic, or “pleasure center” in the brain’ (people on drugs 2008). The main causes that lead a human to become drug addiction are peer pressure, easily access, and family problem.
One of the factors that caused people to become drug addiction is peer pressure. Peer pressure is large enough to influence a human especially teenagers. During teenagers years many of them wanted to be popular among their friends in their group and they are dare to accept any challenge such as smoking cigarette, and taking drugs from their friends. Besides teenagers, adult will also be pressured by it, for example, after working many of them go for clubbing as to release their tension and stress, but in other hands this will caused them to have more chances to get involved with drug addiction. The other causes is easily access, people now can easily get drug from the street, this is because of the greediness of the drug dealer, they wanted to have more income from drug market and they has threaten most of the drug user to sell drugs for them. This has caused the increased of people that sell drugs and promoting drugs to the public. When people had heard about drugs frequently, it may convince the person to try drugs. In other cases, people who involve in drug addiction have no choice, they need to sell drugs to other so that they have enough money to buy drugs for them self. Another cause of drug addiction is family problem such as divorce, quarrel, and financial problem, when a person is stressful and disappointed, they might take drug for temporary get away from his or her responsibility, when drug has become the best solution for their unwanted feeling, they will choose to use drug frequently and drug will be a part of their life in helping them to escape from the reality. These three causes, peer pressure, easily access, and family problem had caused a person to become drug addiction, as it has also effects of drug addiction on the individual, on the family and on the society.

This will cause the drug user lost their income. In that case, drug user will started to get involved in illegal activity such as illegal racing, prostitution and selling drugs to raise money for them self. The other effect of addiction is on the family, family play a major role in our life, family gives us support and strength. If one of the family members gets involved with drug addiction it might destroy the family, when a child take drug, parents will be very disappointed and feel guilt cause of unrealized that their own child has been a drug addict. Opposite of, If parent take drugs, a children childhood will end up and children will lost their parents to fall back on. The effect of addiction on society, when there is more and more people taking drug, government will need to spend external money to send all the drug user to rehabilitation program, when government had to spend time and money to prevent drug addiction, surely that the industry development will be slower down and this will affect the economics of a country. Besides that, the good image of the country will be covered by criminals, when a country had low public security it might caused the number of tourists decrease and this will affected the income of the local business that usually sell goods and services to the tourist such as motel, shopping mall, souvenir shop and etc. In conclusion, drug addiction is caused by peer pressure, easily access of drugs, and family problem. At the same time, there are also effects such as on the individual, on the family, and on the society. To avoid drug addiction in continuing increases government has the biggest ability to change the situation, for example government have to set the law as to punish the drug used as they had been caught guilty. Besides that, drug dealer must receive death penalty because of there are selling and supply drugs to the public. Following that, the society also have the capability to help in decrease the number of drug user, the society can report to the police if they saw people are dealing with drugs, this will help the police to have enough evidence to send the drug dealer to the prisons. There are causes that lead people to become drug addiction and there are also negative effects on drug addiction.

In my opinion I do believe that there are so many factors that influence the use of different drugs. Social, family and intimacy factors can be the reason they start to use the drug of choice. Drugs affect people differently and I truly believe that people do not start out using drugs any type of drug to become addicted to it. I firmly believe that when a person starts out using any type of drug they believe or do not even think about the addiction factor. I believe that the addiction is a result of not dealing with other problems in that person’s life.
