AUTOMATIC SIDE STAND WITH BREAKING LOCKING SYSTEM

SYNOPSIS This project work titled “AUTOMATIC SIDE STAND WITH BREAKING LOCKIG SYSTEM” has been conceived having studied the difficulty in standing the any type of two wheeler vehicle. Our survey in the regard in several automobile garages, revealed the facts that mostly some difficult methods were adopted in standing the vehicles in rest.

Now the project has mainly concentrated on this difficulty, and hence a suitable hydraulic unit has been designed. Such that the vehicles can be stand the floor land without application of any impact force. By pressing the button in the dashboard, the solenoid valve activates the hydraulic jack automatically. The fabrication part of it has been considered with almost case for its simplicity and economy, such that this can be accommodated as one of the essential tools on automobile garages.

INTRODUCTION

This device the two wheeler Pneumatic stand for standing the vehicle garages has been developed to later the needs of two wheeler automobile garages. In most of the garages the vehicles are standing by using spring with liver stand. This needs high man power requirement and impact forces. In order to avoid all such disadvantages, this two wheeler pneumatic stand has been designed in such a way that it can be used to stand the vehicle very smoothly without any impact force. The operation is made be simple that even any person can handled, by just pressing the button.

WORKING OPERATION The dash pad switch was activated at the time of any breakdown condition. The control signal is given to the solenoid valve, when the button is activated. The oil is goes from the compressor to the solenoid valve through flow control valve.

The solenoid valve is activated at the time of dash pad button “ON”. The compressed fluid (air) goes to the hydraulic cylinder. The compressed air pusses the pneumatic cylinder piston and move

Brakes are the most important safety feature on any vehicle and play a huge role in all aspects of the car. Since the early 1900’s, there have been many different kinds of brakes invented and manufactured. There are two types of brakes that stuck around to still be used today, they are referred to as drum and disk brakes. Sensors and technology have improved the way brakes are made and functioned today. Although these advances are very beneficial to car buyers, it can become expensive to people who aren’t familiar with changing the brakes themselves. Components of most vehicles brakes are very simple and they are easy to understand for most people. If they are not changed properly, it could lead to negative results.…

During the Second World War the United States Military put out a request to many vehicle manufacturers for a versatile vehicle that would meet a set of specifications. They wanted a four-wheel drive vehicle, weighing in at 1,300 pounds, with an 80 inch wheelbase, a maximum tread of 47 inches, 85 pound-feet of engine torque, minimum 6.25 inches of ground clearance, able to hold a 600 pound payload and a cooling system to drive low speeds and prevent overheating. This vehicle was to be designed and built in 49 days from the requested date. The company now known as Jeep along with ford accepted this challenge and manufactured the first Jeep called the Willys MB in 1941 (Fetherston).…

    Case Study on Segway

Segway LLC is a company created by Dean Kamen in 2002 to manufacture and market the Segway Human Transporter. The SHT is a personal transport vehicle held upright by gyroscope technology. It is for use on and off-road, for recreation and commuting, by police departments and for government/military uses. Some of the SHT’s weaknesses include the $100 million development price tag and its high selling cost of over $4,500. A third weakness for the SHT is that Segway has not created enough physical locations where consumers can test drive and buy a machine. A final weakness is the lack of corporate/front office competence shown by Dean Kamen. The strengths of the SHT include its versatility of application. Segway has been shown to be valuable to police in patrolling duties and military with bomb disposal vehicles. The SHT also has shows strength in its financial backing. Mr. Kamen has been able to call on investors at any time to help financially when Segway has fallen short of its sales forecasts for the SHT. Segway has many opportunities on the horizon. If it makes some changes to its business/marketing strategy, it could still potentially realize great profits. It also has the opportunity to lower its prices to try and gain sales since it is already offered at a high price (incentive capability). The SHT has an opportunity as well to actualize the perception that it is a viable solution to the world’s congestion, energy and pollution problems. Finally, Segway has the opportunity to make changes to succeed in a market with no serious direct competitors besides some concepts that have been shown, like the concept Toyota presented at its latest tradeshow. Some threats to Segway are that the SHT is seen as a hazard to pedestrians on sidewalks and that it is too hard to operate. Also, another threat to Segway is the loss of investor backing after more unsuccessful quarterly sales marks.…

The first step in an internal combustion engine is to acquire all the attributes to create combustion in a chamber. The necessary air flows through the air filter (usually a conical shaped, micro filament, located in either the front right or left of the engine bay). After the air is sucked into the filter it passes through some tubing until it reaches the mass air sensor. The mass air sensor does exactly what it says, senses the amount of air flow and converts it into a signal or number which then is used to determine the amount of fuel to be delivered. The air and fuel must be at a regulated ratio for maximum gas mileage and power efficiency. Next the air goes through the throttle body, this mechanism regulates the amount of air let into the lower half of the engine, and this is attached to the accelerator (gas pedal) by a cable. The further the gas pedal is depressed, the greater amount of air that is let into the engine, which results in faster acceleration.…

Abstract The study aims to design and build a prototype wheelchair that would follow the accessibility standards of wheel chair design (International Standards Organization, 2010) with the ability to raise or lower its seat to have easy transporting a person to a higher height such as a vehicle with the price not too different from a regular wheelchair. The Elevating wheelchair was conceptualized from the experience and ideas of the researchers imbued to the concept learned as an actual application of the theories on power screws. The mobilization of the power screw theory in this study gave way to the researchers realized the difference of the actual application in real life situation from theoretically based idea into reality. With the help of the physically skillful craftsmen of “Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, Inc.” (TWH) and the researchers’ determination to incorporate their ideas in regards to formulation of the Elevating wheelchair design which is merely a modification of the model standard wheelchair bought in the market. The primary mechanism used to elevate/lower the seat is the motorized scissor jack powered by a 12V motorcycle battery with a maximum lifting load of 1000 kg.…

The development of this device is basically to wrap around the forearm of the patient and it will provide accumulated pressure around the forearm. This device is non-pneumatic thus it will not use any air pressure or pump to operate. Current device use in the market of biomedical department is intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) device, it use air pressure to compresses the limbs. Theoretically, an ideal compression device will compress sequentially (distal to proximal) and will have a pressure gradient (highest pressure distal and lowest pressure proximal). This is where an appropriate solution of using non-pneumatic device will wrap and tighten around the patient forearm due to the rotation of few wheels. Each of the wheels will be holding by its own strap as it will be connected together. Noted here each wheel will have totally difference circumference and will create different pressure.…

Based on the jeepney drivers and passengers’ survey results, most of the height of jeepney drivers and passengers are 1,524 mm – 1,651 mm. The height of the service door of conventional jeepneys is much lower than the height of the drivers and passengers while jumbo jeepney door’s height is higher than the height of the drivers and passengers. This means that the height of entrance and exit of conventional jeepney is not sufficient for the drivers and passengers. The drivers perceived that the floor – ceiling height and ground – floor height is adequate for them while passengers experienced of head bump during entrance/ exit and during the ride of passengers. This indicates that the height of the service doors and floor – ceiling height is not sufficient for the passengers. In addition, passengers experienced difficulty in getting…
