Dream Job Dialogue This is a dialogue between my best friend and me. My friend name is David and I am going create a script and discussing my future role as an educator... In this dialogue I will be answering three questions. The first question is what do you believe will be the future of American K-12 education, and how will you make an impact on it? The second question is what are the career possibilities you for in the field of education? The third question is what is your dream job in the world of education and why are you qualified for it?

My friend David and I were talking about my teaching career and he asked me some very important questions. These questions are questions that every future teacher or educator should be asked.

David: My first question is what do you believe will be the future of American K-12 education, and how will you make an impact on it?
My answer: The future of K-12 education of America I think all depends on what our

President and government does. I have really had my eyes opened to the problems of

programs that have been put in place by our government. These programs were

supposed to help our school systems and students. It seems to me that with research I

have done they have created serious problems. I feel that if laws like the NCLB Act are

not changed the future of school system will only continue to deteriorate. This will

create generations of students that are not well educated citizens. I would like to see a

positive change in our school systems. I also believe that parents need to be more

involved with their student’s education. I hope to make a positive impact on the future of

America’s education system by making sure that as a teacher I have the appropriate

degree. I can make sure that I know the laws and specifics of the state that I plan to

teach in. I also need to be the best teacher that I can be. This includes making sure that

I am involved with my students and parents.

David: My second question is what are the career possibilities you for in the field of

education?

My answer: There are many career possibilities for me. I am working on my BA degree

in Early Elementary Education and also a degree in Special Education. This gives me

different options in which I can choose. With these degrees I can either chose to teach

in a Public School or a Christian School. The fields that I can chose from is either is

Early Elementary Education or Special Education. I think that is important because with

the programs that the government has put into place in our schools. A teacher needs to

have training in Special Education because of the mainstreaming of many special

needs students into regular classrooms.

David: My third question is what is your dream job in the world of education and why are

you qualified for it?

My answer: My first choice would be teaching Kindergarten or First grade in a Christian School. I also am considering teaching in a classroom with learning disabilities. This is a career choice that is near to my heart. I was labeled as having a learning disability. I had a wonderful teacher who made taught me that I could learn. She made learning fun and taught me that I could succeed. My dream is to teach children with learning disabilities that there are people that care. I would also like to show that learning is fun and that they can learn. I would like to have the chance to a difference in my student’s lives. I will be qualified to do either of these when I finish my teaching degree in Early Elementary Education and my degree in Special Education. I also will have my teaching certificate in the state I am going to teach in.
