DISC Platinum Rule Assessment Paper Organizational behavior studies have become more important today than in previous years because companies realized in order to adapt to the rapidly changing business cultures that have stemmed from a competitive and fast-paced market, there must be more emphasis on the relationship between human behavior and the organization. Grasping this understanding has led many companies to invest in behavior seminars and assessments as a training tools to educate their employees and management alike to learn whys of each others’ behavior and attitudes and the hows on dealing with these behaviors and attitudes. I will be introducing the study of behavior by means of taking The DISC Platinum Rule Behavioral Style Assessment to identify my predominate behavior style. I will then analyze my behavior style, my strengths and weaknesses identified within my style and lastly whether or not I agree or disagree with the overall assessment.
DISC results and description of Style
The DISC Assessment categorized my predominant behavioral type as “The Interactive Style” and my substyle as “Ic”. The Interactive Styles, also known as I Style are friendly, enthusiastic “party animals” who like to be where the action is. They thrive on the admiration, acknowledgment, and compliments that come with being in the limelight. They are more relationship-oriented than task-oriented. (Alessandra, 2008)
Interactive Styles Strengths
The Interactive Style’s strengths are enthusiasm, charm, persuasiveness, and warmth. They are gifted in people skills and communication skills with individuals as well as groups. They are idea-people and dreamers who excel at getting others excited about their vision. They are optimists with an abundance of charisma. These qualities help them influence people and build alliances. (Alessandra, 2008)
Interactive Styles Weaknesses The weaknesses of the Interactive Style are identified to be carelessness, poor
