Describe Your Short Term and Long Term Career Goals After Completing the Program.What Characteristics Do You Possess That Would Make You a Good Fit for These Goal.
The two short term career goals that I am going to achieve after completing the Master in Business Administration (Finance) is to obtain a position of a Finance Manager in a reputable organizations. I plan to work as a Finance Executive for a duration of 2years in order to gain and develop the necessary foundational skills needed to work as a Financial Manager. My aim is to obtain a Finance Director position in one of the top financial organizations. This will give me a wide range of professional skills that will create many diverse opportunities for me in the future. My second short term goal is to work towards becoming a qualified chartered accountant and get a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA, UK Certified) Certificate.
My long term career goal is to continue working towards my ultimate goal of becoming a Managing Director in a government or private organization. I plan to take continuing professional classes and training on a regular basis to become an Associate/ Fellow Chartered Management Accountant from Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA), UK.
I currently posses several characteristics that would make me a good fit for my short term and long term career goals that I mentioned above. With my experience in a financial organization, I possess ability to negotiate with individuals or group of people in order to come to consensus in achieving a common goal. I am very conscious of time value of money, which states that a unit of currency today is worth more than the same unit of currency tomorrow. I posses the ability to price assets based on their risk level, and expected rate of return. I am able to adapt to new processes and learn new skills quickly. I pay close attention to details. I am a team player , and I enjoy working with people from diverse background and culture. I also have the ability to organize and control multiple projects. And I am also efficient and effective in time management. I am confident that these characteristics
