Christianity And Judaism Similarities
Christianity and Judaism possess similar monotheistic foundations, yet Judaism kept a relatively small following while Christianity was able to quickly become popular all over Europe and the Middle East. This phenomenon can be explained by examining the main differences between the two religions. In Judaism one is expected to adhere to extensive laws. Christians officially cut back on following many of these strict laws in the second century, making Christianity much easier to convert to. Another difference is that the Jews believe God cannot be seen so there is no image for them to use in worship. Christians, on the other hand, follow Jesus, a man whom they believe is the Son of God, and they permit the use of pictures and statues that resemble
