Chief Guest Speech In School
Your Excellency Honourable Maithripala Sirisena, Ministers, the Principal, Teachers, Parents, Guests and my dear prize winners.
For all of us at Zahira, today is a historic occasion as our chief guest is the much loved President of our motherland. I welcome you Sir on behalf of my board, my Principal, teachers and dear children. I wish to highlight some matters which are very near and dear to my heart.
Initially Zahira was a leading school in Sri Lanka. Our archives evidence students who came in from India, Pakistan, Singapore, the Maldives and far off Africa. Amongst Sri Lankans the former speaker the Late Mr K.B. Ratnayaka, Ministers Mr. Abu Sally, Mr. Naina Marikkar, Mr. M.H.M.Ashroff to name a few esteemed students from the four corners

We were able to solve a few of their pressing problems. We helped with infra-structure by building new classroom buildings, toilets, organised extra classes, motivational and leadership programmes, introduced sports and vocational training and breakfast programmes. What we accomplished at Zahira during the last six years is evident to the eye, but sad to say some people without helping us and using their energies to solve the problems faced by our children carry on a campaign against the success of Zahira. They manipulate the poor of the area by saying that Zahira belongs only to the Muslims of Colombo Central. My vision is to open our doors to the best talents from all the communities all around Sri Lanka like Royal, Ananda and Trinity.
Today school admission is a big problem for parents as popular schools can take only a limited number of students. We know how devastated parents are when their son does not get admission to year one. The inability to get into a desirable school leads to corruption and frustration. We believe that we have found a solution to this

Good evening everyone; teachers, faculty, family, friends, and the Walkerville graduating class of 2008! Wow. This day arrived so quickly – this final high school farewell seemed so distant, but it snuck up on us before we knew it. School is tricky like that; one hour and fifteen minutes can feel as long as “”, while the end of the school year can come around as fast as “Brandon Holland running the 200 meter dash. The other three years went by quickly, but none accelerated as much as this final school year. And what an amazing time it has been, Walkerville – from grade nine to now, the experiences have been unforgettable, and small wonder, considering how incredible this school is and the amazing students that make up this graduating class. There is no other school like Walkerville. it is the best high school in Windsor Essex county. Walkerville is in its own class altogether - When I look at this graduating class, I see a group of outstanding young adults. I see so much respect, acceptance, and just all around an extremely classy group of guys and gals. The talent here, especially in this senior year is phenomenal. This senior student body is made up of simply amazing actors, athletes, artists, dancers, writers, photographers, singers, really smart people, and musicians. But at Walkerville, the talent never stops at one category. To just name a few, athletes take art and dance classes, dancers play bassoon, artists sing, musicians participate in extreme stunts such as the four man piggyback, swimmers play piano, businessmen play broomball, historians write toxic love poems, and if you’re a male dancer, then you’re a hero in general. Moreover, this graduating class is a stellar example of how extraordinary ability can be combined with good character and school spirit. This senior year has constantly shown love for their school, simply by getting involved in any way possible. Helping out at events such as frosh day…

The guest lecture with Ben Dunlap on life-long learning was great and kept me wanting to watch. I thought he was a great storyteller and I enjoyed watching the lecture. Ben Dunlap, the president of Wossford College in South Carolina, tells stories of three successful men: Sandor Teszler, Francis Robicsek, and Roger Milliken. I thought that his main point he was trying to get across was to “live each day as if it is your last and learn as if you’ll live forever”-A famous quote by Mahatma Ghandi. I also think Dunlap was trying to explain the common quality that the three main had in common which was an inextinguishable, undaunted appetite for learning and experience.…

Family instability along with poverty effects many students today in America, and it is detrimental that the students that are affected by these aspects of life should be given every opportunity to succeed in life. There are many ways to identify these students so that school faculty can assist each child with a chance to succeed. The Building effective schools program has been designed to assist each student with receiving the things that they are in need of, along with reaching out to their families to allow them to have a different outlook on school and receiving an education. The Building Effective Schools program with also allow social resources to be made available to the students and parents that are within the community so that the students can have a greater chance for success.…

In comprehension of this paper, I will convey to the reader the story of Malala’s journey through her fight to education rights, why these rights are important, and how this issue relates to many other women’s rights issues discussed in class. I will begin by giving background on Ziauddin and his position on girl’s education, which will lead into Malala and her stand on the matter as well. Through the telling of protests, blogs and speeches given on education rights by Malala herself, you will see the beginnings of a very young female activist, which will give insight on her attempted assassination. Her attack and life threatening experience will give way into the Taliban’s reasoning’s for why she had to be silenced.…

At yesterday’s town council meeting (3/6/17), the serious problems of Cottone Field took center stage. Concerned residents and students lined up to inform the council about the worn-out condition of the field which has recently caused injuries to several students. The injuries were due to the uplift of the base layer of silica sand which purpose is to act as a cushion. Without this base layer of sand, the field becomes incredible dense, providing little to no dampening of impacts. The result of this is that students are getting sprained ankles in situations where they would normally be uninjured. One concerned resident reported “their was no difference in feel between the concrete and the field once I stepped on to it”. Another reported…

Hello, everyone! I’d like to thank everybody again for coming out today to help send us off into our futures. The sad truth is, is that this is probably the last time I’ll get to talk to my entire class at once so I’m gonna try and make it good. We’ve come a long way from nap time and chasing each other around the playground well…maybe something’s never change. Our class has had some awkward moments, from learning about the “bull head” in Mrs. Currnutt’s class, to Morrison hitting on Mrs. Harber. But, we’ve also had some fun times too. We had a pretty amazing fishing trip at the end of our junior year, and also we made a great Senior Harlem Shake! In the past four years I have become friends with people I never expected to be friends with, or even the past two years, for that matter. And I think our whole class can relate to that.…

I have spent all my primary years attending Gomathy and have enjoyed every moment of it. I would like to become the new school vice-captain of Gomathy to ensure that this school stays as great as it is for at least two more years that I am attending this school and many years after I leave. I would therefore also try my very best to make it even better. I also think that I would make a good school vice-captain because I will be responsible, organized, and thoughtful, enjoy helping people and a good team worker. I will stride to follow all school characteristics, Honesty, Responsibility, Consideration, Co-operation and Respect and of course follow all school rules. I will also gladly listen to everyone’s ideas and try my best to enforce them. As there are new students constantly coming to this school throughout the year I know that they can be shy and uncertain about things or simply don’t know where things are so I would gladly greet and show them around the school to ensure that they never get lost and can make plenty of friends. I will also happily be anyone’s friend, whether they are new or old to this school. Some of you may think leadership is simple, just a piece of cake and anyone can do it. But, leadership is much more and it’s much harder. As Gandhi once said: “I suppose leadership at one time meant muscles; but today it means getting along with people.”…
