Methods of research and Procedures Method of research is a systematic gathering of qualitative and quantitative data. It follows a certain process to have data that will be interpreted. It supports the validity of the study by using a test statistic to answer some question and to prove some hypothesis. This chapter also in clued the details on how the data are acquired.
In this study we use the following method
• Naturalistic Observation
• Survey Method
• Testing Method
Naturalistic Observation – In order for us the researchers see firsthand the current situation of the “Proben” food cart industry. We carefully observed the process involve on their natural setting. We use this method for us to really have a good overview on what is really going on. In this method, the team went out to Pabayo Street and we ourselves try this street food and carefully observe the process on how they handle the food.
Survey Method – In this method the team is giving out a survey form and let the participant answer the form. The data collected will be interpreted the data using different test statistic.
The main objective of this survey is to have a statistical data that will support the research and to put emphasis on the importance of this study.
Testing method – In this method, the team will get sample to be tested for E. coli or Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. E. Coli normally lives in the intestines, where it helps the body break down and digest the food you eat. Unfortunately, certain types (called strains) of E. Cole can get from the intestines into the blood. This is a rare illness, but it can cause a very serious infection. Staphylococcus aureus a bacteria capable of food poisoning. This is often caused by improper food handling, which is a common practice in street food industry.
Using the Pareto principle we have an assumption that 80% of the population that eat street food especially in Pabayo street area would choose Proben over other
