Career Paper: Firefighting
Fire Fighting

For my career research paper I choose to write about firefighting. I choose Firefighting because my grandpa, uncle, and brother in law are all firefighters. I want to be a firefighter because I like to help people and because it's a nice job you can get without going to college. It is a very good job to have if you want to stay active or if you just don't want to work in a cubeical. Firefighting feels like the job I want to do for the rest of my life ,and I hoping I find that I will like it. Someone in firefighting must be ready to go out to take care of the problem at anytime.
They have daily chores like someone has to do the dishes, someone else must clean the bathroom everyday, somebody has to cook the meals, ext. Some fire stations have people rotate being cook and other have just one cook who makes every meal breakfast lunch ,and dinner. I think that the best part of the day would be getting to go fight fires ,and help people. The most challenging would also be the fighting of fires because it is hard work, (but hard work Is the best work).

The requirements are you must be 18 years old, Have a high school diploma ,and be physically fit. Those are just the requirement in very brief detail. To become a firefighter I must have the following traits honesty, integrity ,and loyalty. My uncle danny said “you have to be good looking too”.
I feel like I am suited for firefighting because I like physical jobs to stay fit, I like to help people, and because my family does it. I think I will be good at firefighting because I feel like I can be trusted, I don't plan on getting a criminal record ever, I am fit ,and I am good

One of the most vital aspects of fire protection is to recognize a budding fire emergency as soon as possible, and to notify the facility's tenants and proper emergency groups. This is the primary function of all fire detection and alarm systems. Depending on the expected fire situation, structures and type, quantity and occupants (health care, business, residential, industrial, and day care), and criticality of contents and mission, these systems can offer multiple key functions to aid in the safety of the occupants (Department of Veterans Affairs (Office of Construction & Facilities Management) , 2011). Their first two functions are the most vital. The first being a way to identify a fire hazard as it transpires through either manual or automatic methods. Secondly, it alerts the structures occupants to an imminent fire hazard and the need to withdraw from the building. Another common function in a non single family structure is to send an emergency alarm notification to the local emergency response organizations. Some systems are even designed to sensitive systems to…

Also, that is why the training and guidelines/procedures are so strict. Firefighter training and academy mimics how the military trains our soldiers. How tough and strict they are about every little detail and especially safety. The training physically and mentally is one of the most challenging things you will have to endure. From the physical work out every day to the mental studies you have to do and the practices you have to learn to keep with the times. Especially, on your probationary period, this is a big factor, you have to be the one doing anything and everything perfectly. However, once you become a firefighter and off probationary, you still don’t stop evolving. Although, there is nothing more rewarding, from the great pay, benefits and retirement plan. Also, knowing that you can help the community and civilians around you, knowing that you can protect them and help them if needed. Firefighting g is a full-time job even when you’re off the clock. You are always being looked at and you always might need to step in and help someone. This is the main reason why this is a challenging job, it never…

I doubt that anyone would argue with the statement that firefighting is a dangerous occupation. The natural reaction of most is to flee from a burning building, but firefighters are not most people. Firefighters risk their lives on a day-to-day basis rushing to the scene of an emergency, fighting blazing fires, and entering burning buildings; it is hard to believe that the number one cause of line-of-duty deaths is cardiac events (FEMA, 2011).…
