Camping vs. Resort
People like to go on vacations and spend time with ones they enjoy being around. When traveling people focus most on where they would like to stay. Although camping in the woods and staying in a resort are the two most common ways to take a vacation, one should consider camping because it is less expensive, requires simple effort and its rejuvenating. There is a huge different in price range between camping in the woods to staying at a resort. When camping deep in the woods, one only needs a few essentials that will get them through many days. Campers need their own belongings including a tent, a sleeping bag, and a camp stove, which this equipment can be used over and over again for years or can be barrowed from friends. Camping is usually free or at a comfortable price. When it comes to eating, meals are already prepped and planned beforehand, ready to be cooked at the campsite at anytime. Camping is often close to all the outdoor activities, which are free. Free outdoor activities include hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking and biking. Conversely, while staying at a resort, eating, drinking, and activities tend to add up quickly to the bill. Resorts are often very expensive relying upon the cost of the room each night could get very costly. While staying at a hotel it usually cost twice that of a campsite for one night (Miller). Also, paying for tourist excursions and buying souvenirs is always a need while vacationing at a resort. Opposite of camping, when one is hungry people at resorts tend to eat more frequently because they are lazy and restaurants are available. When staying at a resort one has to drive to their attraction, so adding tax rides or rental cars to the bill as well gets pricey. Simple effort is required when camping. Preparation for camping can actually be almost as fun as the trip itself. One needs to pack up supplies including meals/food, cooking utensils, clothes, tents and much more. Campers

This is significant because despite being out in the woods, one has access to things such as running water and its many useful applications. For example, the running water can be used to do chores such as wash the dishes, provide a way to acquire clean water for food preparation, and even allows one to take a cold shower under certain circumstances. As a result, the camping experience can be tackled with the hygienic cleanliness usually left at less modernly accommodating campsites. This results in a pleasing camping experience where you are able to utilize the conventions of a sink in the wilderness, moreover this also includes clean facilities in case some would rather not rough it out in the woods when it comes time for nature to take its…

Critics argue that summer camps take children’s attention away from the other friends that children might have in their hometown. However, children already get to see these people for the other nine months out of the year. They go to school with the children of their hometown, play sports with them, and even attend parties with them. Children that go to summer camps have the opportunity to meet other types of people. They will meet children that come from different areas of the country, have different cultures, and have had very different experiences. These new friendships that are forged in the few weeks that children are at summer camp allow children to experience more of the world than just their hometown, and to learn about the lives of people that do not live near them.
