CBT Aligns With Adlerian Therapy
Carolyn, thank you for your discussion. I also picked Miquel for my case study. I also chose Adlerian therapy for this assignment. As you mentioned Adlerian therapy will take into account Miguel’s childhood experiences and standing within the family. Adlerian approach is that the client is in charge of what they want to get out of their treatment. If he is motivated for change than he will be actively involved.

I believe it is equally important for Miguel to include his wife in his treatment process. Any positive support an addict can receive regardless of the approach taken is instrumental in their success.

For the actual case study paper I chose CBT, however I believe some elements of CBT aligns with Adlerian approach. It required
