Outline guidelines, procedures codes of practice relevant to personal work
Guidelines, procedures and codes of practice are put into place to allow me to work effectively within the company. If these weren’t followed, it could cause problems within my work or hurt the level of business the company receives.
Some of the procedures and guidelines I follow include giving good customer service, keeping contact information and personal information private, answering the phone and any emails professionally, how to gather and store information and keeping the office diary up to date.

Explain the purpose of planning work, and being accountable to others for own work
Planning allows everyone involved in a certain project to know what has to be completed when so that the client gets what they want on time. It helps to prioritise work and also helps to make sure that work is not unnecessarily repeated. Having a plan allows me to know what others are working on and allows others to know what I am working on. I will be accountable for others for my own work so I can carry out what is expected of me.

Explain the purpose and benefits of agreeing realistic targets for work
It is beneficial to agree realistic targets as it makes sure the projects are not rushed, people are not put under unnecessary stress, colleagues and managers are not being let down and the client is getting what they asked for.

Realistic targets for work can be agreed by making sure that the work is actually possible to do in that amount of time whilst also considering that another important task may come up during that time.
