1. Creating a new position between CEO and the location manager will help grow business because it will allow the CEO more time to deal with more pressing business issues like expansion of the company. It will allow the CEO more time to focus on different aspects of the business. Therefore, I believe that adding more levels of management will help keep the business become more organized because he will be able to delegate his present duties to the new managers (Bateman & Snell, 2013, p. 155).
2. The company has two managers already and I think that promoting one of the existing managers will be greatly helpful the company’s organization. I also think that promoting within the company is a great idea because the manager will already have previous knowledge of the business and how to run things efficiently thus making him an asset.
3. I think that the hiring of the regional manager should be made by the CEO and CFO because they are the owners of the company. I think that it is important that they do the hiring process because they will want the company’s business philosophy as well as culture philosophy to continue by the new daily operations manager. I also think that it is important that the CEO and CFO hire the new manager because new manager will be addressing any issues with them therefore the CEO and CFO need to be able to tell him their expectations.
4. If the new position is created then I think that the organization chart will be top management, middle management, and first line management (Bateman & Snell, 2013, p. 152). Top level management will consist of CEO and CFO. The middle management will include account and daily operations manager which will be reporting to CEO and CFO. The first line management will include store managers that will report to daily operations manager.

Even though the majority of the chart fell into the functional category, there were also a few Executive Vice Presidents that were geographically based, all of whom report directly to the CEO. If you add together the chief of staff, chief admin officer, chief science officer, deputy chief medical officer, chief mission officer, chief diversity/marketing officer, chief development officer, and all of the regional vice presidents, you get a total of 14 people managed directly by the CEO. That’s just too much direct oversight for any one individual in my opinion. I almost wonder with a COO position should be created to help reduce the CEO’s level of direct oversight.…
