Bolivia
Bolivia, located in almost the middle of South America, is a country which is named after freedom fighter Simon Bolivar. The country’s borders are connected to Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Paraguay, and Chile, and only has one river which connects to the ocean. Bolivia has not only one capital but two; they’re named La Paz and Sucre. Sucre was Bolivia’s historic capital, but after a civil war, the government was moved to La Paz. The judicial system is still in Sucre, but La Paz is the seat of the national government. Bolivia has around 8 major languages spoken and some of them include Spanish, Chiquitano, Canichana, and Aymara.

In between them is a plateau which is called the Altiplano. Also, the country not only has very high elevation in the Andes Mountains but almost half of it is covered with the Andes. The country is nicknamed “the rooftop of the world.”It also has one of the highest ski resorts in the world which is in the city of Chacaltaya at 17, 785 ft. The resort is so high that it keeps oxygen tanks for skiers who feel nauseous or sick from the altitude. Bolivia has one of South America’s largest lakes on the two borders of it and Peru. The lake, which is called “Lake Titicaca,” is one of the world’s most highest navigable body of water. The waters of the lake are famous for the stillness of it and how it is brightly reflective. Around the lake live rare aquatic wildlife giant frogs. The country has one of the Amazon’s largest tributaries run through it, the river is called the Marmore River. It runs through Bolivia and Brazil and is around 1,181 miles long. Bolivia has lots of major landmarks. Some of which include Plaza Murillo, which is a square with famous buildings, Amboro National Park, which includes volcanoes, parks, and protected areas, Mt.
