It is more beneficial because it allows students to take more classes in one school year. I believe that block scheduling will benefit students more also because it allows them to get done with school sooner. It helps them gather more college credit too. It can help them get college credit with the extra class periods they may if they are close to meeting all their graduation requirements. In a block schedule you could get your graduation requirements done in 2 and a half school years while in an eight period day you don't have as much time in a class. Block classes can be anywhere from 60- 90 minutes while traditional classes may only be 40-50 minutes long and you have the same 7-9 classes all year or some may switch at the semester.
All schools should switch to block scheduling because of the benefits. It helps them get more time in classes and lets them take more. It also lets them gain credits towards their futures. I say all schools should read this and change for their
