Being A Bricklayer
What do hammers, bricks, and building all have in common? All three of these things all have something to do with the job, a Bricklayer. A bricklayer is the perfect job for me because of the benefits, the other people you work with or for, and when and where you get to work.
One of the main things about being a bricklayer is the benefits. One of very few benefits is that you get paid $44,950 a year (bls.gov). Another one of the benefits for being a bricklayer is that you get to get off a lot more than a normal job especially since I would be working for my uncles so they wouldn't be as mean as a real boss would be. The last of the benefits would be the trips that my uncles take you on after the end of the year, sometimes they will just buy

The nice thing about being a bricklayer is that I would get to work with my uncles and my brother. Instead of telling you what to do they help you do whatever is needed. Also Sometimes you get to work for famous people such as Jim Thome which is a famous baseball player that played for the cleveland indians. Another thing would be that you won't get fired for being sick one day like another job, you just have to make up for that day that you missed.
Last is when and where you get to work. Most of the time Bricklayers work outside, and I like being in the outdoors, And that is a step closer to why I should become one. Also When it is raining or snowing you normally don't have to work because the mortar will disintegrate or fall apart. Another one of the Great things is that all the Job sites that I would be working at would be around here, so not to far from home so I don't use up too much gas money.
The ideal occupation for me is a Bricklayer because of the benefits, other people you work with, and when and where you are working. A mason or bricklayer is the perfect job for me because I don't have to work on snowy days or rainy, Also I think this is the perfect job for me because I get to work with family. Did you know Bricklaying is the most environmentally-friendly building system

Even though I have never considered the fact that my personality type may reflect on the type of job I enjoy, nor have I ever tired to match myself to a job depending on my personality, I have been doing it my whole life through. As I have said before in another discussion I was borne and raised on a farm and I have always been an on hands type of person as well as no stranger to physical labor. After examining John Holland Careers and Personality it is very obvious that my personality does match my careers, both past, present, and if all goes well in the future as well. With this being said I fall in the category of being realistic, in which I like to solve concrete problems, work with my hands and/or tools, and as I said before physical labor is a close friend of mind. As for the social activity jobs, I can do them but to be honest I would rather be left alone while I’m working. So therefore my personality is of a realistic one.…

My first job was working the Halloween party and that was a very fun job. The only thing that I had to do was instruct people on jumping into a pit full of bubble wrap. Also, I had to just hand out candy to “trick or treaters” the came down the hallway of the school. The second job I did was work the spaghetti dinner. This job was also very simple and only had me wait tables, which meant I had to bring out spaghetti, drinks, and silverware to the customers. The third job that I had done was doing Fill the Boot. This job was very interesting, because it was something I had never done before. What I had to do was stand in the middle of the street collecting money for a disease called MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association). My last and final job I had done is one Christmas Eve every year. I go with my family to HSBC Arena, fill up bags full of food, and bring it to families that are less fortunate than me, with the Buffalo Police.…
