Beijing is a fast developing metropolitan city with blend of old and modern. Being alive for more than 3,000 years, Beijing still hasn’t stopped being the number one destination of history and culture. There are barely any buildings that do not have any national historical meaning to it. I know many bad things have been said about Beijing, that the city is too polluted, the people there aren’t welcoming and respectful or that the city is over populated. You could choose to believe those people or you could go and see for yourself, take a closer look at the magnificent city and witness China’s most historical and modern sites. This is one of those opportunities that are illegal to miss.
However, my own experience has been the complete opposite of what people are saying about Beijing. Well sure, the city is quite crowded and due to that, Beijing is polluted. On the other hand, people aren’t disrespectful. I remember that there was this girl in her late teens who offered to help us out during our visit. “Mei” was her name, and she’s one of those people who would do anything to help, she was like a hero for us because Beijing is not an easy city to find place in.
As the saying goes, “one who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a hero”. Without witnessing the Great Wall, your trip is definitely incomplete. The Great Wall of China, one of the greatest wonders of the world is like a huge dragon that flies across grasslands, desserts, mountains and plateaus, stretching 8,851.8 kilometers from east to west of the beautiful country of China. The Great wall has been alive for more than 2000 years and some of the parts of the wall have been destroyed. However, don’t let that stop you from having the opportunity of your life.
