While Asia was not as severely affected as Africa nor affected comparably to Europe, the region was touched in its own unique fashion. Asia was directly influenced economically and politically. Writers often wrote to their audience in Europe and their own people with the purpose of informing the population about the negative effects Europeans have on our region or nation. Europeans impacted nations economically through the process of economic extraction and interrupting the native’s natural system of activity (Doc 4). Asia was also affected with political turmoil. Europe directed groups against each other by creating political conflict. The governing bodies within the Asian countries often allowed the European countries to intervene in hope of economic achievement (Doc 6, 7). The historical context of this political controversy was the process of nationalism in Asian countries. Specifically, Britain practiced its high-caliber military for advances in India and distinct achievements such as the Suez Canal. These…

As time progressed in the Post-Classical Era there were major changes in Islam and Christianity as seen in the discussions of Authorities. Islam had expanded across Afro-Asia and had become very wealthy because of trade in Dhar Al-Islam. On the other hand Christian Europe had entered a Dark-Ages of little trade with the fall of the Roman Empire in the West. However, by 1200 C.E. Europe had come out of the Dark-Ages on its way to the Renaissance. Europe was very interested in wealth and trade. An additional source of trade maps displaying trade wealth in 800 C.E. and 1500 C.E. of Islam and Christianity would help to explain why the views of the religions were changing. This change can be seen in Reginald’s writing about St. Godric…

While reading this article, I learned so many new things about anti-aging creams and make-up. The bonus is the fact that Olay doesn’t test their products on animals, they do it on human skin from biopsies. The equipment to do all the tests and make the creams is very expensive. One machine costs $350,000.000. They use around 94 ‘gene chips’ with samples of skin to do many different series of tests. In the article they used a lot of fancy words that I don’t quite understand, but I’m sure I can assume what they mean. It’s crazy how much science goes into anti-aging formulas. It’s all about the sun damage and the metabolic stuff.…

In the film ‘Beneath Clouds’, Ivan Sen exposes the troublesome lives of two young indigenous adolescents in a small rural community of northern New South Wales. Throughout the film Lena (Diannelle Hall) and Vaughn (Damian Pitt) travel on a journey not only to escape their alcohol and abusive pasts but also on a spiritual journey to find where they truly belong in this world. This sounds good but you should make your reading more clear so that it underpins the whole article…

In 1787, a group of representatives from the 13 colonies met all together to discuss the Articles of Confederation’s weaknesses and to make a new Constitution. They disputed, debated, and talked about it for 4 months until they created the U.S. Constitution. It is stated in the paper “How to Write a Feature Article” that” Feature writing often centers around people and their interests rather than events, but many of the same writing conventions of news writing (particularly a concern for accuracy) are also required for feature writing” (How to Write a Feature Article). Feature article can be found similar to the news reports, because they tell a story about the occurring event. However, such articles are often much longer and they tell the audience more about the people, which were influenced by the event than about the event, which has happened. The feature articles show the reader the emotions, world views and the believes of people involved, instead of just showing basic facts and statistics. For my RIP Project I am writing a feature article about Russian…
