What is monotheism? How it evolved time to time? Why there are tensions or conflicts among monotheistic religions? What can be the solution?
The belief in one most powerful entity, the only creator of the world basically the belief in exist of one true God is called monotheism. The concept of monotheism is not new. Monotheism has been found in a variety of cultures around the world, and is not exclusive to technologically advanced societies. However, scholars dispute the exact origin of monotheism. Some suggest that monotheism first arose in the religion of Zoroastrianism. Others have argued that Egypt was the birthplace of monotheism, while Jews often consider their religion

Monotheism is perhaps the most discussed and debated category of religious classification. Unlike other religious classifications, monotheism has often been associated with an "ideal" for which all religions should strive. Many faiths have put forward great amounts of effort to champion monotheism, considering it to be the supreme form of religiosity. Monotheism has even been, on occasion, placed on a pedestal in academia, religious scholars and theologians viewed it for decades as the most "rational" way of conceiving of God and often placed on an evolutionary hierarchy above more "primitive" ways of viewing divinity such as polytheism or animism. Moreover, most of the followers of monotheist faiths believed that there is no possibility of more than one supreme Gods because if there are multiple Gods or Goddess, we must have witnessed several wars and chaos among Gods. As the world has created and has been maintaining by one supreme entity, there is a balance in the universe. This unique belief of Almighty made monotheism separate from other …show more content…
So from the quotations of the holy Torah, it is certain that Judaism declare in one idol worship.

Christianity
Christianity, which has roots in Judaism, began approximately 2,000 years ago. Followers of the Christian faith believe that Jesus is the Messiah prophesized in the Hebrew Scriptures. Christianity and its doctrine are based on the life and teachings of Jesus; these scriptures are referred to as the New Testament. Like Judaism Christianity also provide the notion of one god.
Bible says “Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I (am) the first, and I (am) the last; and beside me (there is) no God.” (Isaiah 44:6)
It also say “For (there is) one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5)
The book again says “I, (even) I, (am) the LORD; and beside me (There is) no savior.” (Isaiah 43:11)
From the verses of Bible it is crystal clear that Christianity supports in monotheism.
