Introduction
The company I will be researching is Apple Inc. Apple is a company that has evolved our electronic world and made it into something that people never thought could be possible. This company is involved with designing and producing different types of electronics from computers, phones, music playing devices, and software.
Apples mission statement states “Apple designs Macs, the best personal computers in the world, along with OS X, iLife, iWork and professional software. Apple leads the digital music revolution with its iPods and iTunes online store. Apple has reinvented the mobile phone with its revolutionary iPhone and App Store, and is defining the future of mobile media and computing devices with iPad” (apple corporate information, n.d.). This mission statement doesn’t exactly tell you what the company is going to do for consumers in the long run. It rather just states what the company has done and the products they have produced.
The products Apple offers range from computers, portable media devices, cellphones and tablets. Apple has many varieties of personal desktops and laptops including the mac pro, MacBook pro, iMac, and MacBook air. Apple makes its laptops and desktops to fit the needs of everyday people to top business men. These products are made to be the better computer. They do this by using innovative features, always having the newest technology and are designed with the environment in mind. The materials that Apple uses to make their computers are aluminum and glass. These are very desirable to recyclers so disposing of these products are easy and affordable. Another popular product is the portable media players including the iPod classic, touch, Nano, mini, and shuffle. The Apple iPods come in many different sizes so there will always be one to fit your every need. Although Apples computer products were one of the top selling products they had

Apple’s business model (with Jobs) began as a quest to be the best. Steve Jobs started it; the company was sort of stagnant after his leaving and then upon his return has become one of the top contenders in technology. Apple began by making the PC “beautiful”. He designed computers to look like more than big grey boxes on desks, so that they seemed appealing. Then he made it better, easier to use and stronger than other PC’s. When the PC market plateaued, mp3 players, cell phones and then eventually tablets were the focus for consumers. (Muehlhausen, 2010) They make a PC, the IPhone and IPad. They continually improve each of them along with a steady stream of applications that can be used on them.…

This doesn't mean Apple are exempt or ignorant of the "laws" of marketing, but instead they use a unique form of marketing strategy called psychographic segmentation to appealing to all consumers no matter the age, race, income level, and/or demographic.…
